The following Scriptures are from The Scriptures (ISR–Institute for Scripture Research–1998), a restored name translation, freely available at www.biblehub.com.
This is a STUDY of Scripture. It is comprised of many Scriptures. It cannot be read in 30 minutes. Nevertheless, being from the restored name translation of the Word of YaHuWaH, it is from one of the best translations of TRUTH we have. If you like to seek truth, this is for YOU!! There’s great news for those who want to live truth. If you don’t like to study the Word of YaHuWaH, this post is not for you. If you do, I believe you will be very blessed by this study.
Genesis 1:
11 And Elohim said, “Let the earth bring forth grass, the plant that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth.” And it came to be so. 12 And the earth brought forth grass, the plant that yields seed according to its kind, and the tree that yields fruit, whose seed is in itself according to its kind. And Elohim saw that it was good.
Genesis 48:
15 And he blessed Yosĕph, and said, “The Elohim before whom my fathers Aḇraham and Yitsḥaq walked, the Elohim who has fed me all my life long to this day, 16 the Messenger who has redeemed me from all evil – bless the youths! And let my name be called upon them, and the name of my fathers Aḇraham and Yitsḥaq. And let them increase to a multitude in the midst of the earth.”
17 And when Yosĕph saw that his father laid his right hand on the head of Ephrayim, it was evil in his eyes; and he took hold of his father’s hand to remove it from the head of Ephrayim to the head of Menasheh. 18 And Yosĕph said to his father, “Not so, my father, for this one is the first-born, put your right hand on his head.” 19 But his father refused and said, “I know, my son, I know. He also becomes a people, and he also is great. And yet, his younger brother is greater than he, and his seed is to become [MeLO HaGoWiYM: the fullness of the Gentiles–those who do not keep the everlasting covenant–the ToWRaH, but translated as] the completeness of the nations.”
20 And he blessed them on that day, saying, “In you Yisra’ĕl shall bless, saying, ‘Elohim make you as Ephrayim and as Menashsheh!’ ” Thus he put Ephrayim before Menashsheh. 21 And Yisra’ĕl said to Yosĕph, “See, I am dying, but Elohim shall be with you and bring you back to the land of your fathers. 22 “And I, I have given to you one portion above your brothers, which I took from the hand of the Amorite with my sword and with my bow.”
Exodus 3:
11 And Mosheh said to Elohim, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring the children of Yisra’ĕl out of Mitsrayim?” 12 And He said, “Because I am with you. And this is to you the sign that I have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Mitsrayim, you are to serve Elohim on this mountain.”
13 And Mosheh said to Elohim, “See, when I come to the children of Yisra’ĕl and say to them, ‘The Elohim of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they say to me, ‘What is His Name?’ what shall I say to them?” 14 And Elohim said to Mosheh, “I am that which I am.” And He said, “Thus you shall say to the children of Yisra’ĕl, ‘I am has sent me to you.’ ”
15 And Elohim said further to Mosheh, “Thus you are to say to the children of Yisra’ĕl, ‘יהוה YaHuWaH Elohim of your fathers, the Elohim of Aḇraham, the Elohim of Yitsḥaq, and the Elohim of Ya‛aqoḇ, has sent me to you. This is My Name forever, and this is My remembrance to all generations.’
16 “Go, and you shall gather the elders of Yisra’ĕl together, and say to them, ‘יהוה YaHuWaH Elohim of your fathers, the Elohim of Aḇraham, of Yitsḥaq, and of Ya‛aqoḇ, appeared to me, saying, “I have indeed visited you and seen what is done to you in Mitsrayim; 17 and I say: I am bringing you up out of the affliction of Mitsrayim to the land of the Kena‛anite and the Ḥittite and the Amorite and the Perizzite and the Ḥiwwite and the Yeḇusite, to a land flowing with milk and honey.” ’ 18 “And they shall listen to your voice. And you shall come, you and the elders of Yisra’ĕl, to the sovereign of Mitsrayim, and you shall say to him, ‘יהוה Elohim of the Heḇrews has met with us. And now, please, let us go three days’ journey into the wilderness to slaughter to יהוה our Elohim.’
19 “But I know that the sovereign of Mitsrayim is not going to let you go, not even by a strong hand. 20 “And I shall stretch out My hand and smite Mitsrayim with all My wonders which I shall do in its midst. And after that he shall let you go. 21 “And I shall give this people favour in the eyes of the Mitsrites. And it shall be, that when you go, you shall not go empty-handed. 22 “But every woman shall ask from her neighbour and from the stranger in her house, objects of silver, and objects of gold, and garments. And you shall put them on your sons and on your daughters, and shall plunder the Mitsrites.”
Exodus 12:
1 And יהוה spoke to Mosheh and to Aharon in the land of Mitsrayim, saying, 2 “This month is the beginning of months for you, it is the first month of the year for you.
3 “Speak to all the congregation of Yisra’ĕl, saying, ‘On the tenth day of this month each one of them is to take for himself a lamb, according to the house of his father, a lamb for a household. 4 ‘And if the household is too small for the lamb, let him and his neighbour next to his house take it according to the number of the beings, according to each man’s need you make your count for the lamb. 5 ‘Let the lamb be a perfect one, a year old male. Take it from the sheep or from the goats. 6 ‘And you shall keep it until the fourteenth day of the same month. Then all the assembly of the congregation of Yisra’ĕl shall kill it between the evenings. 7 ‘And they shall take some of the blood and put it on the two doorposts and on the lintel of the houses where they eat it. 8 ‘And they shall eat the flesh on that night, roasted in fire – with unleavened bread and with bitter herbs they shall eat it. 9 ‘Do not eat it raw, nor boiled at all with water, but roasted in fire, its head with its legs and its inward parts. 10 ‘And do not leave of it until morning, and what remains of it until morning you are to burn with fire.
11 ‘And this is how you eat it: your loins girded, your sandals on your feet, and your staff in your hand. And you shall eat it in haste. It is the Passover of יהוה YaHuWaH.
12 ‘And I shall pass through the land of Mitsrayim on that night, and shall smite all the first-born in the land of Mitsrayim, both man and beast. And on all the mighty ones of Mitsrayim I shall execute judgment. I am יהוה YaHuWaH. 13 ‘And the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I shall pass over you, and let the plague not come on you to destroy you when I smite the land of Mitsrayim. 14 ‘And this day shall become to you a remembrance. And you shall observe it as a festival to יהוה throughout your generations – observe it as a festival, an everlasting law. 15 ‘Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread. Indeed on the first day you cause leaven to cease from your houses. For whoever eats leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that being shall be cut off from Yisra’ĕl. 16 ‘And on the first day is a set-apart gathering, and on the seventh day you have a set-apart gathering. No work at all is done on them, only that which is eaten by every being, that alone is prepared by you.
17 ‘And you shall guard the Festival of Unleavened Bread, for on this same day I brought your divisions out of the land of Mitsrayim. And you shall guard this day throughout your generations, an everlasting law. 18 ‘In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month, in the evening, you shall eat unleavened bread until the twenty-first day of the month in the evening.
19 ‘For seven days no leaven is to be found in your houses, for if anyone eats what is leavened, that same being shall be cut off from the congregation of Yisra’ĕl, whether sojourner or native of the land. 20 ‘Do not eat that which is leavened – in all your dwellings you are to eat unleavened bread.’ ”
21 And Mosheh called for all the elders of Yisra’ĕl and said to them, “Go out and take lambs for yourselves according to your clans, and slaughter the Passover lamb. 22 “And you shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and strike the lintel and the two doorposts with the blood that is in the basin, and you, none of you shall go out of the door of his house until morning. 23 “And יהוה shall pass on to smite the MiTzRaiYM [Egyptians], and shall see the blood on the lintel and on the two doorposts, and יהוה shall pass over the door and not allow the destroyer to come into your houses to smite you.
24 “And you shall guard this word as a law for you and your sons, forever. 25 “And it shall be, when you come to the land which יהוה gives you, as He promised, that you shall guard this service. 26 “And it shall be, when your children say to you, ‘What does this service mean to you?’ 27  then you shall say, ‘It is the Passover slaughtering of יהוה, who passed over the houses of the children of Yisra’ĕl in Mitsrayim when He smote the Mitsrites and delivered our households.’ ” And the people bowed their heads and did obeisance.
28 And the children of Yisra’ĕl went away and did so – as יהוה had commanded Mosheh and Aharon, so they did. 29 And it came to be at midnight that יהוה smote all the first-born in the land of Mitsrayim, from the first-born of Pharaoh who sat on his throne to the first-born of the captive who was in the dungeon, and all the first-born of livestock. 30 And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he and all his servants, and all the Mitsrites. And there was a great cry in MiTzRaiYM, for there was not a house where there was not a dead one. 31 Then he called for Mosheh and Aharon by night, and said, “Arise, go out from the midst of my people, both you and the children of Yisra’ĕl. And go, serve יהוה as you have said. 32 “Take both your flocks and your herds, as you have said, and go. Then you shall bless me too.” 33 And the MiTzRaiYM urged the people, to hasten to send them away out of the land. For they said, “We are all dying!”
34 And the people took their dough before it was leavened, having their kneading bowls bound up in their garments on their shoulders. 35 And the children of Yisra’ĕl had done according to the word of Mosheh, and they had asked from the MiTzRaiYM objects of silver, and objects of gold, and garments. 36 And יהוה gave the people favour in the eyes of the MiTzRaiYM, so that they gave them what they asked, and they plundered the MiTzRaiYM. 37 And the children of Yisra’ĕl set out from Ra‛meses to Sukkoth, about six hundred thousand men on foot, besides the little ones. 38 And a mixed multitude went up with them too, also flocks and herds, very much livestock. 39 And they baked unleavened cakes of the dough which they had brought out of Mitsrayim, for it was not leavened, since they were driven out of Mitsrayim, and had not been able to delay, nor had they prepared food for themselves. 40 And the sojourn of the children of Yisra’ĕl who lived in Mitsrayim was four hundred and thirty years. 41 And it came to be at the end of the four hundred and thirty years, on that same day it came to be that all the divisions of יהוה went out from the land of Mitsrayim. 42 It is a night to be observed unto יהוה for bringing them out of the land of Mitsrayim. This night is unto יהוה, to be observed by all the children of Yisra’ĕl throughout their generations.
43 And יהוה said to Mosheh and Aharon, “This is the law of the Passover: No son of a stranger is to eat of it, 44 but any servant a man has bought for silver, when you have circumcised him, then let him eat of it. 45 “A sojourner and a hired servant does not eat of it. 46 “It is eaten in one house, you are not to take any of the flesh outside the house, nor are you to break any bone of it. 47 “All the congregation of Yisra’ĕl are to perform it. 48 “And when a stranger sojourns with you and shall perform the Passover to יהוה, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and perform it, and he shall be as a native of the land. But let no uncircumcised eat of it. 49 “There is one Torah for the native-born and for the stranger who sojourns among you.”
Exodus 20:
1 And Elohim spoke all these Words, saying, 2 “I am יהוה YaHuWaH your Elohim, who brought you out of the land of Mitsrayim, out of the house of slavery. 3 “You have no other mighty ones against My face. 4 “You do not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of that which is in the heavens above, or which is in the earth beneath, or which is in the waters under the earth, 5 you do not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, יהוה your Elohim am a jealous Ěl, visiting the crookedness of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, 6 but showing kindness to thousands, to those who love Me and guard My commands. 7 “You do not brina the Name of יהוה YaHuWaH your Elohim to naught, for יהוה does not leave the one unpunished who brings His Name to naught.
8 “Remember the Sabbath day, to set it apart. 9 “Six days you labour, and shall do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a Sabbatha of יהוה your Elohim. You do not do any work – you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. 11 “For in six days יהוה made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore יהוה blessed the Sabbath day and set it apart.
12 “Respect your father and your mother, so that your days are prolonged upon the soil which יהוה your Elohim is giving you. 13 “You do not murder. 14 “You do not commit adultery. 15 “You do not steal. 16 “You do not bear false witness against your neighbor. 17 “You do not covet your neighbour’s house, you do not covet your neighbour’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, or whatever belongs to your neighbor.” 24 ...In every place where I cause My Name to be remembered I shall come to you and bless you.
Exodus 34:5 And יהוה YaHuWaH came down in the cloud and stood with him there, and proclaimed the Name, יהוה YaHuWaH. 6 And יהוה passed before him and proclaimed, “יהוה YaHuWaH, יהוה YaHuWaH, an Ěl compassionate and showing favour, patient, and great in kindness and truth, 7 watching over kindness for thousands, forgiving crookedness and transgression and sin, but by no means leaving unpunished, visiting the crookedness of the fathers upon the children and the children’s children to the third and the fourth generation.”
8 And Mosheh hurried and bowed himself toward the earth, and did obeisance, 9 and said, “If, now, I have found favour in Your eyes, O יהוה YaHuWaH, I pray, let יהוה YaHuWaH go on in our midst, even though we are a stiff-necked people. And forgive our crookedness and our sin, and take us as Your inheritance.” 10 And He said,See, I am making a covenant. Before all your people I am going to do wonders such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation. And all the people among whom you are shall see the work of יהוה. For what I am doing with you is awesome. 11 “Guard what I command you today. See, I am driving out from before you the Amorite and the Kena‛anite and the Ḥittite and the Perizzite and the Ḥiwwite and the Yeḇusite.
12 “Guard yourself, lest you make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land where you are going, lest it be a snare in your midst. 13 “But break down their altars, and smash their pillars, and cut down their Ashĕrim –14 for you do not bow yourselves to another mighty one, for יהוה, whose Name is jealous, is a jealous Ěl – 15 lest you make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they whore after their mighty ones, and slaughter to their mighty ones, and one of them invites you and you eat of his slaughterings, 16 and you take of his daughters for your sons, and his daughters whore after their mighty ones, and make your sons whore after their mighty ones. 17 “Do not make a moulded mighty one for yourselves.
18 “Guard the Festival of Unleavened Bread. For seven days you eat unleavened bread, as I commanded you, in the appointed time of the month of Aḇiḇ, because in the month of Aḇiḇ you came out from Mitsrayim. 19 “Everyone opening the womb is Mine, and every male first-born among your livestock, whether bull or sheep. 20 “But the first-born of a donkey you ransom with a lamb. And if you do not ransom, then you shall break his neck. Every first-born of your sons you shall ransom. And they shall not appear before Me empty-handed. 21 “Six days you work, but on the seventh day you rest – in ploughing time and in harvest you rest. 22 “And perform the Festival of Weeks for yourself, of the first-fruits of wheat harvest, and the Festival of Ingathering at the turn of the year. 23 “Three times in the year all your men are to appear before the Master, יהוה, the Elohim of Yisra’ĕl, 24 for I dispossess nations before you, and shall enlarge your borders, and let no one covet your land when you go up to appear before יהוה your Elohim three times in the year. 25 “Do not offer the blood of My slaughtering with leaven, and do not let the slaughtering of the Festival of the Passover remain until morning. 26 “Bring the first of the first-fruits of your land to the House of יהוה your Elohim. Do not cook a young goat in its mother’s milk.” 27 And יהוה said to Mosheh, “Write these Words, for according to the mouth of these Words I have made a covenant with you and with Yisra’ĕl.”
28 And he was there with יהוה YaHuWaH forty days and forty nights. He did not eat bread and he did not drink water. And He wrote on the tablets the Words of the covenant, the Ten Words. 29 And it came to be, when Mosheh came down from Mount Sinai, while the two tablets of the Witness were in Mosheh’s hand when he came down from the mountain, that Mosheh did not know that the skin of his face shone since he had spoken with Him. 30And Aharon and all the children of Yisra’ĕl looked at Mosheh and saw the skin of his face shone, and they were afraid to come near him. 31 But Mosheh called out to them, and Aharon and all the rulers of the congregation returned to him, and Mosheh spoke to them. 32 And afterward all the children of Yisra’ĕl came near, and he commanded them all that יהוה had spoken with him on Mount Sinai. 33And when Mosheh ended speaking with them, he put a veil on his face. 34 But whenever Mosheh went in before יהוה to speak with Him, he would remove the veil until he came out. And when he came out he spoke to the children of Yisra’ĕl what he had been commanded, 35 and the children of Yisra’ĕl would see the face of Mosheh, that the skin of Mosheh’s face shone, and Mosheh would put the veil on his face again, until he went in to speak with Him.
Leviticus 16:29 “And this shall be for you a law forever: In the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, you afflict your beings, and do no work, the native or the stranger who sojourns among you. 30 “For on that day he makes atonement for you, to cleanse you, to be clean from all your sins before יהוה YaHuWaH. 31“It is a Sabbath of rest for you, and you shall afflict your beings – a law forever. 32“And the priest, who is anointed and ordained to serve as priest in his father’s place, shall make atonement, and shall put on the linen garments, the set-apart garments, 33 and he shall make atonement for the Most Set-apart Place, and make atonement for the Tent of Meeting and for the altar, and make atonement for the priests and for all the people of the assembly. 34 “And this shall be for you a law forever, to make atonement for the children of Yisra’ĕl, for all their sins, once a year.” And he did as יהוה commanded Mosheh.
Leviticus:19:
1 And יהוה YaHuWaH spoke to Mosheh, saying, 2“Speak to all the congregation of the children of Yisra’ĕl, and say to them, ‘Be set-apart, for I יהוה your Elohim am set-apart. 3 ‘Each one of you should fear his mother and his father, and guard My Sabbaths. I am יהוה YaHuWaH your Elohim.
4 ‘Do not turn to idols, and do not make for yourselves moulded mighty ones. I am יהוה your Elohim. 5 ‘And when you bring a peace offering to יהוה, bring it for your acceptance. 6 ‘It is eaten the same day you slaughter it, and on the next day. And that which is left on the third day is burned with fire. 7 ‘So if it is eaten at all on the third day, it is abominable, it is not accepted, 8 and he who eats it bears his crookedness, because he has profaned the set-apart offering of יהוה, and that being shall be cut off from his people.
9 ‘And when you reap the harvest of your land, do not completely reap the corners of your field or gather the gleanings of your harvest. 10 ‘And do not glean your vineyard or gather every grape of your vineyard, leave them for the poor and the stranger. I am יהוה your Elohim.
11 ‘Do not steal, do not lie, do not deceive one another. 12 ‘And do not swear falsely by My Name and so profane the Name of your Elohim. I am יהוה.
13 ‘Do not oppress your neighbour or rob him. The wages of him who is hired is not to remain with you all night until morning. 14 ‘Do not curse the deaf or put a stumbling-block before the blind, but fear your Elohim. I am יהוה YaHuWaH. 15 ‘Do no unrighteousness in right-ruling. Do not be partial to the poor or favour the face of the great, but rightly rule your neighbour in righteousness. 16 ‘Do not go slandering among your people. Do not stand against the blood of your neighbour. I am יהוה YaHuWaH. 17 ‘Do not hate your brother in your heart. Reprove your neighbour, for certain, and bear no sin because of him. 18 ‘Do not take vengeance or bear a grudge against the children of your people. And you shall love your neighbour as yourself. I am יהוה YaHuWaH.
19 ‘Guard My laws. Do not let your livestock mate with another kind. Do not sow your field with mixed seed. And do not put a garment woven of two sorts of thread upon you.
20 ‘And when a man has intercourse with a woman who is a female servant, engaged to a man, and who has not at all been ransomed nor redeemed, there should be an inquiry. But they are not put to death, because she was not free. 21 ‘And he shall bring his guilt offering to יהוה, to the door of the Tent of Meeting, a ram as a guilt offering. 22 ‘And the priest shall make atonement for him with the ram of the guilt offering before יהוה for his sin which he has done. And the sin which he has sinned shall be forgiven him.
23 ‘And when you come into the land, and have planted all kinds of trees for food, then you shall reckon their fruit as uncircumcised. For three years it is as uncircumcised to you, it is not eaten. 24 ‘And in the fourth year all its fruit is set-apart – praises to יהוה YaHuWaH. 25 ‘And in the fifth year you eat its fruit, so that it increases its yield to you. I am יהוה your Elohim.
26 ‘Do not eat meat with the blood. Do not practise divination or magic. 27 ‘Do not round the corner of your head, nor destroy the corner of your beard. 28 ‘And do not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor put tattoo marks on you. I am יהוה YaHuWaH. 29 ‘Do not profane your daughter by making her a whore, so that the land does not whore, and the land becomes filled with wickedness. 30 ‘Guard My Sabbaths and reverence My set-apart place. I am יהוה YaHuWaH. 31 ‘Do not turn to mediums, and do not seek after spiritists to be defiled by them. I am יהוה your Elohim. 32 ‘Rise up before the grey-headed. And you shall favour the face of an old man, and shall fear your Elohim. I am יהוה YaHuWaH.
33 ‘And when a stranger sojourns with you in your land, do not oppress him. 34 ‘Let the stranger who dwells among you be to you as the native among you, and you shall love him as yourself. For you were strangers in the land of Mitsrayim. I am יהוה your Elohim.
35 ‘Do no unrighteousness in right-ruling, in measurement of length, in weight, or in measuring liquids. 36 ‘Have right scales, right weights, a right ĕphah, and a right hin. I am יהוה your Elohim, who brought you out of the land of Mitsrayim. 37 ‘And you shall guard all My laws and all My right-rulings, and do them. I am יהוה YaHuWaH.’ ”
Leviticus 26:
1 ‘Do not make idols for yourselves, and do not set up a carved image or a pillar for yourselves, and do not place a stone image in your land, to bow down to it. For I am יהוה your Elohim. 2 ‘Guard My Sabbaths and reverence My set-apart place. I am יהוה YaHuWaH. 3 ‘If you walk in My laws and guard My commands, and shall do them, 4 then I shall give you rain in its season, and the land shall yield its crops, and the trees of the field yield their fruit. 5 ‘And your threshing shall last till the time of the grape harvest, and the grape harvest shall last till the time of sowing. And you shall eat your bread until you have enough, and shall dwell in your land safely.
6 ‘And I shall give peace in the land, and you shall lie down and no one make you afraid. And I shall clear the land of evil beasts, and not let the sword go through your land. 7 ‘And you shall pursue your enemies, and they shall fall by the sword before you. 8 ‘And five of you shall pursue a hundred, and a hundred of you pursue ten thousand. And your enemies shall fall by the sword before you. 9 ‘And I shall turn to you and make you bear fruit, and shall increase you, and shall establish My covenant with you. 10 ‘And you shall eat the old supply, and clear out the old because of the new. 11 ‘And I shall set My Dwelling Place in your midst, and My being shall not reject you. 12 ‘And I shall walk in your midst, and shall be your Elohim, and you shall be My people. 13 ‘I am יהוה your Elohim, who brought you out of the land of Mitsrayim, from being their slaves. And I have broken the bars of your yoke and made you walk upright.
14 ‘But if you do not obey Me, and do not do all these commands, 15 and if you reject My laws, or if your being loathes My right-rulings, so that you do not do all My commands, but break My covenant, 16 I also do this to you: And I shall appoint sudden alarm over you, wasting disease and inflammation, destroying the eyes, and consuming the life. And you shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it. 17 ‘And I shall set My face against you, and you shall be smitten before your enemies. And those who hate you shall rule over you, and you shall flee when no one pursues you. 18 ‘And after all this, if you do not obey Me, then I shall punish you seven times more for your sins.
19 ‘And I shall break the pride of your power, and shall make your heavens like iron and your earth like bronze. 20 ‘And your strength shall be spent in vain and your land not yield its crops, nor the trees of the land yield their fruit. 21 ‘And if you walk contrary to Me, and refuse to obey Me, I shall bring on you seven times more plagues, according to your sins, 22 and send wild beasts among you, which shall bereave you of your children. And I shall cut off your livestock, and make you few in number, and your highways shall be deserted.
23 ‘And if you are not instructed by Me by these, but walk contrary to Me, 24 then I also shall walk contrary to you, and I Myself shall smite you seven times for your sins. 25 ‘And I shall bring against you a sword executing the vengeance of My covenant, and you shall gather together in your cities, and I shall send pestilence among you, and you shall be given into the hand of the enemy.
26 ‘When I have cut off your supply of bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and they shall bring back to you your bread by weight, and you shall eat and not be satisfied. 27 ‘And if in spite of this, you do not obey Me, but walk contrary to Me, 28 then I shall walk contrary to you in wrath. And I Myself shall punish you seven times for your sins. 29 ‘And you shall eat the flesh of your sons, and eat the flesh of your daughters. 30 ‘And I shall destroy your high places, and cut down your sun-pillars, and put your carcasses on the carcasses of your idols. And My being shall loathe you. 31 ‘And I shall turn your cities into ruins and lay your set-apart places waste, and not smell your sweet fragrances. 32 ‘And I shall lay the land waste, and your enemies who dwell in it shall be astonished at it. 33 ‘And I shall scatter you among the gentiles and draw out a sword after you. And your land shall be desert and your cities ruins, 34 and the land enjoy its Sabbaths as long as it lies waste and you are in your enemies’ land. Then the land would rest and enjoy its Sabbaths. 35 ‘As long as it lies waste it rests, for the time it did not rest on your Sabbaths when you dwelt in it.
36 ‘And as for those of you who are left, I shall send faintness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies, and the sound of a shaken leaf shall cause them to flee. And they shall flee as though retreating from a sword, and they shall fall when no one pursues. 37 ‘And they shall stumble over one another, as from before a sword, when no one pursues. And you shall be unable to stand before your enemies. 38 ‘And you shall perish among the gentiles, and the land of your enemies shall eat you up, 39 and those of you who are left rot away in their crookedness in your enemies’ lands, and also in their fathers’ crookednesses rot away with them. 40 ‘But if they confess their crookedness and the crookedness of their fathers, with their trespass in which they trespassed against Me, and that they also have walked contrary to Me, 41 and that I also have walked contrary to them and have brought them into the land of their enemies – if their uncircumcised heart is then humbled, and they accept the punishment of their crookedness, 42 then I shall remember My covenant with Ya‛aqoḇ, and also My covenant with Yitsḥaq, and also remember My covenant with Aḇraham, and remember the land.

43 ‘For the land was abandoned by them, and enjoying its Sabbaths while lying waste without them, and they were paying for their crookedness, because they rejected My right-rulings and because their being loathed My laws. 44 ‘And yet for all this, when they are in the land of their enemies, I shall not reject them, nor shall I loathe them so as to destroy them and break My covenant with them. For I am יהוה their Elohim.
45 ‘Then I shall remember for their sake the covenant of the ancestors whom I brought out of the land of Mitsrayim before the eyes of the nations to be their Elohim. I am יהוה YaHuWaH.’ ” 46 These are the laws and the right-rulings and the Torot [instructions] which יהוה made between Himself and the children of Yisra’ĕl on Mount Sinai by the hand of Mosheh.
Numbers 9:
13 ‘But the man who is clean and is not on a journey, and has failed to perform the Passover, that same being shall be cut off from among his people, because he did not bring the offering of יהוה at its appointed time – that man bears his sin. 14 ‘And when a stranger sojourns among you, then he shall perform the Passover of יהוה. He shall do so according to the law of the Passover and according to its right-ruling. You have one law, both for the stranger and the native of the land.’ ”
Numbers 15:
13 ‘Let all who are native do so with them, in bringing near an offering made by fire, a sweet fragrance to יהוה YaHuWaH. 14 ‘And when a stranger sojourns with you, or whoever is among you throughout your generations, and would make an offering made by fire, a sweet fragrance to יהוה, as you do, so he does. 15 ‘One law is for you of the assembly and for the stranger who sojourns with you – a law forever throughout your generations. As you are, so is the stranger before יהוה YaHuWaH. 16 ‘One Torah and one right-ruling is for you and for the stranger who sojourns with you.’ ”… 29 ‘For him who does whatever by mistake there is one Torah, both for him who is native among the children of Yisra’ĕl and for the stranger who sojourns in their midst. 30 ‘But the being who does whatever defiantly, whether he is native or a stranger, he reviles יהוה, and that being shall be cut off from among his people. 31 ‘Because he has despised the word of יהוה, and has broken His command, that being shall certainly be cut off, his crookedness is upon him.’ ”
Numbers 19:
10 ‘And he who gathers the ashes of the heifer shall wash his garments, and is unclean until evening. And it shall be a law forever to the children of Yisra’ĕl and to the stranger who sojourns in their midst.
Numbers 35:
33 ‘And do not profane the land where you are, for blood profanes the land, and the land is not pardoned for the blood that is shed on it, except by the blood of him who shed it. 34 ‘And do not defile the land which you inhabit, in the midst of which I dwell, for I, יהוה, am dwelling in the midst of the children of Yisra’ĕl.’ ”
Deuteronomy 6:
1 “And this is the command, the laws and right-rulings which יהוה your Elohim has commanded, to teach you to do in the land which you are passing over to possess, 2 so that you fear יהוה your Elohim, to guard all His laws and His commands which I command you, you and your son and your grandson, all the days of your life, and that your days be prolonged. 3 “And you shall hear, O Yisra’ĕl, and shall guard to do, that it might be well with you, and that you increase greatly as יהוה Elohim of your fathers has spoken to you, in a land flowing with milk and honey. 4 “Hear, O Yisra’ĕl: יהוה our Elohim, יהוה is one! 5 “And you shall love יהוה your Elohim with all your heart, and with all your being, and with all your might. 6 “And these Words which I am commanding you today shall be in your heart, 7 and you shall impress them upon your children, and shall speak of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up, 8 and shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. 9 “And you shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates. 10 “And it shall be, when יהוה your Elohim brings you into the land of which He swore to your fathers, to Aḇraham, to Yitsḥaq, and to Ya‛aqoḇ, to give you great and good cities which you did not build, 11 and houses filled with all kinds of goods, which you did not fill, and wells dug which you did not dig, vineyards and olive trees which you did not plant, and you shall eat and be satisfied – 12 be on guard, lest you forget יהוה who brought you out of the land of Mitsrayim, from the house of bondage.

13 “Fear יהוה your Elohim and serve Him, and swear by His Name. 14 “Do not go after other mighty ones, the mighty ones of the peoples who are all around you, 15  for יהוה your Elohim is a jealous Ěl in your midst, lest the displeasure of יהוה your Elohim burn against you, then He shall destroy you from the face of the earth. 16 “Do not try יהוה your Elohim as you tried Him in Massah. 17 “Diligently guard the commands of יהוה your Elohim, and His witnesses, and His laws which He has commanded you. 18 “And you shall do what is right and good in the eyes of יהוה, that it might be well with you, and you shall go in and possess the good land of which יהוה swore to your fathers, 19 to drive out all your enemies from before you, as יהוה has spoken.
20 “When your son asks you in time to come, saying, What is the meaning of the witnesses, and the laws, and the right-rulings which יהוה our Elohim has commanded you?’ 21 then you shall say to your son, ‘We were slaves of Pharaoh in Mitsrayim, and יהוה brought us out of Mitsrayim with a strong hand, 22 and יהוה sent signs and wonders, great and grievous, upon Mitsrayim, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his household, before our eyes. 23 ‘And He brought us out from there, to bring us in, to give us the land of which He swore to our fathers. 24 ‘And יהוה commanded us to do all these laws, to fear יהוה our Elohim, for our good always, to keep us alive, as it is today. 25 ‘And it is righteousness for us when we guard to do all this command before יהוה our Elohim, as He has commanded us.’
Deuteronomy 7:
1 “When יהוה YaHuWaH your Elohim brings you into the land which you go to possess, He shall also clear away many nations before you: the Ḥittites and the Girgashites and the Amorites and the Kena‛anites and the Perizzites and the Ḥiwwites and the Yeḇusites, seven nations greater and mightier than you. 2 “And when יהוה your Elohim gives them over to you, you shall smite them and put them under the ban, completely. Make no covenant with them, and show them no favour. 3 “And do not intermarry with them – you do not give your daughter to his son, and you do not take his daughter for your son, 4 for he turns your sons away from following Me, to serve other mighty ones. Then the displeasure of יהוה shall burn against you and promptly destroy you. 5 “But this is what you do to them: Break down their altars, and smash their pillars, and cut down their Ashĕrim, and burn their carved images with fire. 6 “For you are a set-apart people to יהוה your Elohim. יהוה your Elohim has chosen you to be a people for Himself, a treasured possession above all the peoples on the face of the earth. 7. YaHuWaH יהוה did not set His love on you nor choose you because you were more numerous than any other people, for you were the least of all peoples, 8 but because of יהוה loving you, and because of Him guarding the oath which He swore to your fathers, יהוה has brought you out with a strong hand, and redeemed you from the house of bondage, from the hand of Pharaoh sovereign of Mitsrayim.
9 “And you shall know that יהוה your Elohim, He is Elohim, the trustworthy Ěl guarding covenant and kindness for a thousand generations with those who love Him, and those who guard His commands, 10 but repaying those who hate Him to their face, to destroy them. He does not delay to do so with him who hates Him, He repays him to his face.
11 “And you shall guard the command, and the laws, and the right-rulings which I command you today, to do them. 12 “And it shall be, because you hear these right-rulings, and shall guard and do them, that יהוה your Elohim shall guard with you the covenant and the kindness which He swore to your fathers, 13 and shall love you and bless you and increase you, and shall bless the fruit of your womb and the fruit of your land, your grain and your new wine and your oil, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flock, in the land of which He swore to your fathers to give you.
14 “Blessed are you above all peoples – there is not going to be a barren man or a barren woman among you or among your livestock. 15 “And יהוה shall turn away from you all sickness and put on you none of the evil diseases of Mitsrayim which you have known, but He shall put them on all those who hate you. 16 “And you shall consume all the peoples whom יהוה your Elohim is delivering over to you – your eye shall not pardon them. And do not serve their mighty ones, for that is a snare to you. 17 “When you say in your heart, ‘These nations are greater than I, I am unable to drive them out,’ 18 do not be afraid of them. Remember well what יהוה your Elohim did to Pharaoh and to all Mitsrayim, 19 the great trials which your eyes saw, and the signs and the wonders, the strong hand and the outstretched arm, by which יהוה your Elohim brought you out. יהוה your Elohim does so to all the peoples of whom you are afraid.
20 “And יהוה your Elohim also sends the hornet among them until those who are left, who hide themselves from you, are destroyed. 21 “Do not be afraid of them, for יהוה your Elohim, the great and awesome Ěl, is in your midst. 22 “And יהוה your Elohim shall drive out those nations before you, little by little. You are not allowed to destroy them at once, lest the beasts of the field become too numerous for you. 23 “But יהוה your Elohim shall deliver them over to you and destroy them with a great destruction until they are consumed. 24 “And He shall give their sovereigns into your hand, and you shall destroy their name from under the heavens. No one is going to be able to stand against you until you have destroyed them.
25 “The carved images of their mighty ones you are to burn with fire. Do not covet the silver or gold that is on them, nor take it for yourselves, lest you be snared by it, for it is an abomination to יהוה your Elohim. 26 “And do not bring an abomination into your house, lest you be accursed like it. Utterly loathe it and utterly hate it, for it is accursed.
Deuteronomy 10:
12 “And now, Yisra’ĕl, what is יהוה your Elohim asking of you, but to fear יהוה your Elohim, to walk in all His ways and to love Him, and to serve יהוה your Elohim with all your heart and with all your being, 13 to guard the commands of יהוה and His laws which I command you today for your good? 14 “See, the heavens and the heaven of heavens belong to יהוה your Elohim, also the earth with all that is in it. 15 “YaHuWaH יהוה delighted only in your fathers, to love them. And He chose their seed after them, you above all peoplesa, as it is today. 16 “And you shall circumcise the foreskin of your heart, and harden your neck no more. 17 “For יהוה your Elohim is Elohim of mighty ones and Master of masters, the great Ěl, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality nor takes a bribe. 18 “He executes right-ruling for the fatherless and the widow, and loves the stranger, giving him food and a garment. 19 “And you shall love the stranger, for you were strangers in the land of Mitsrayim. 20 “Fear יהוה your Elohim. Serve Him, and cling to Him, and swear by His Name. 21 “He is your praise, and He is your Elohim, who has done for you these great and awesome deeds which your eyes have seen. 22 “Your fathers went down to Mitsrayim with seventy beings, and now יהוה your Elohim has made you as numerous as the stars of the heavens.
Deuteronomy 24:
19 “When you reap your harvest in your field, and have forgotten a sheaf in the field, do not go back to get it. Let it be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow, so that יהוה your Elohim might bless you in all the work of your hands. 20 “When you beat your olive trees, do not examine the branch behind you. Let it be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow. 21 “When you gather the grapes of your vineyard, do not glean behind you. Let it be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow. 22 “And you shall remember that you were a slave in the land of Mitsrayim. Therefore I am commanding you to do this word.
Deuteronomy 26:
26 ‘Cursed is he who does not establish the Words of this Torah.’ And all the people shall say, ‘Amĕn!’
Deuteronomy 28:
1 “And it shall be, if you diligently obey the voice of יהוה your Elohim, to guard to do all His commands which I command you today, that יהוה your Elohim shall set you high above all nations of the earth. 2 “And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, if you obey the voice of יהוה your Elohim: 3 “Blessed are you in the city, and blessed are you in the field. 4 “Blessed is the fruit of your body, and the fruit of your ground and the fruit of your livestock – the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks. 5 “Blessed is your basket and your kneading bowl. 6 “Blessed are you when you come in, and blessed are you when you go out. 7 “YaHuWaH יהוה causes your enemies who rise against you to be smitten before your face – they come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways. 8 “YaHuWaH יהוה commands the blessing on you in your storehouses and in all to which you set your hand, and shall bless you in the land which יהוה your Elohim is giving you. 9 “YaHuWaH יהוה does establish you as a set-apart people to Himself, as He has sworn to you, if you guard the commands of יהוה your Elohim and walk in His ways. 10 “And all peoples of the earth shall see that the Name of יהוה is called upon you, and they shall be afraid of you. 11 “And יהוה shall make you to have plenty of what is good, in the fruit of your body, in the fruit of your livestock, and in the fruit of your ground, in the land of which יהוה swore to your fathers to give you. 12 “YaHuWaH יהוה opens to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. And you shall lend to many nations, but you do not borrow. 13 “And יהוה shall make you the head and not the tail. And you shall be only on top, and not be beneath, if you obey the commands of יהוה your Elohim, which I command you today, to guard and do. 14 “And do not turn aside from any of the Words which I am commanding you today, right or left, to go after other mighty ones to serve them.
15 “And it shall be, if you do not obey the voice of יהוה your Elohim, to guard to do all His commands and His laws which I command you today, that all these curses shall come upon you and overtake you: 16 “Cursed are you in the city, and cursed are you in the field. 17 “Cursed is your basket and your kneading bowl. 18 “Cursed is the fruit of your body and the fruit of your land, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks. 19 “Cursed are you when you come in, and cursed are you when you go out. 20 “YaHuWaH יהוה sends on you the curse, the confusion, and the rebuke in all that you set your hand to do, until you are destroyed and until you perish quickly, because of the evil of your doings by which you have forsaken Me. 21 “YaHuWaH יהוה makes the plague cling to you until He has consumed you from the land which you are going to possess. 22 “YaHuWaH יהוה smites you with wasting disease, and with inflammation, and with burning, and with extreme heat, and with the sword, and with blight, and with mildew. And they shall pursue you until you perish. 23 “And your heavens which are over your head shall be bronze, and the earth which is under you iron. 24 “YaHuWaH יהוה makes the rain of your land powder and dust; from the heavens it comes down on you until you are destroyed. 25. “YaHuWaH יהוה causes you to be defeated before your enemies – you go out one way against them and flee seven ways before them. And you shall become a horror to all the reigns of the earth. 26“And your carcasses shall be food for all the birds of the heavens and the beasts of the earth, with no one to frighten them away. 27 “YaHuWaH יהוה shall smite you with the boils of Mitsrayim, with tumours, with the scab, and with the itch, from which you are unable to be healed. 28 “YaHuWaH יהוה shall smite you with madness and blindness and bewilderment of heart. 29 “And you shall be groping at noon, as a blind man gropes in darkness, and not prosper in your ways. And you shall be only oppressed and plundered all the days, with no one to save you. 30 “You become engaged to a wife, but another man does lie with her. You build a house, but do not dwell in it. You plant a vineyard, but do not use its fruit. 31 “Your ox is slaughtered before your eyes, but you do not eat of it. Your donkey is violently taken from before you, and it is not given back to you. Your sheep are given to your enemies, with no one to save them. 32 “Your sons and your daughters are given to another people, and your eyes look and fail for them all day long, and your hand powerless. 33 “A people whom you have not known eat the fruit of your land and all your labours. And you shall be only oppressed and crushed all the days. 34 “And you shall be maddened because of the sight which your eyes see. 35 “YaHuWaH יהוה smites you in the knees and on the legs with evil boils of which you are unable to be healed, and from the sole of your foot to the top of your head. 36 “YaHuWaH יהוה brings you and the sovereign whom you set over you to a nation which neither you nor your fathers have known, and there you shall serve other mighty ones, wood and stone. 37 “Thus you shall become an astonishment, a proverb, and a mockery among all the peoples to which יהוה drives you. 38 “You take much seed out into the field but gather little in, for the locust consumes it. [in other words… you have bugs eating your food] 39 “You plant vineyards, and shall labour, but you neither drink of the wine nor gather, for the worm eats it. 40 “You have olive trees in all your border, but do not anoint with oil, for your olives drop off. 41 “You bring forth sons and daughters, but they are not with you, for they go into captivity. 42 “Locusts possess all your trees and the fruit of your ground. 43 “The sojourner who is among you rises higher and higher above you, but you come down lower and lower. 44 “He lends to you, but you do not lend to him. He is the head, and you are the tail. 45 “And all these curses shall come upon you, and they shall pursue and overtake you, until you are destroyed, because you did not obey the voice of יהוה your Elohim, to guard His commands and His laws which He commanded you. 46 “And they shall be upon you for a sign and for a wonder, and on your seed, forever. 47 “Because you did not serve יהוה your Elohim with joy and gladness of heart for all the plenty, 48 you shall serve your enemies whom יהוה sends against you, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in need of all. And he shall put a yoke of iron on your neck until he has destroyed you. 49 “YaHuWaH יהוה brings a nation against you from afar, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flies, a nation whose language you shall not understand, 50 a fierce-looking nation, which shows no regard for the elderly nor show favour to the young, 51 and they shall eat the fruit of your livestock and the fruit of your land, until you are destroyed. They leave you no grain, nor new wine, nor oil, nor the increase of your cattle or the offspring of your flocks, until they have destroyed you. 52 “And they shall besiege you at all your gates till your high and fenced walls, in which you are trusting, come down in all your land. And they shall besiege you at all your gates in all your land which יהוה your Elohim has given you.
53 “And you shall eat the fruit of your own body, the flesh of your sons and your daughters whom יהוה your Elohim has given you, in the siege and distress in which your enemies distress you. 54 “The man among you who is tender, and who is very delicate, his eye is evil against his brother, against the wife of his bosom, and against the rest of his children whom he leaves behind, 55 against giving any of them the flesh of his children that he eats, because it is all that has been left to him in the siege and distress with which your enemy distresses you in all your gates. 56 “The tender and the delicate woman among you, who have not tried to set the sole of her foot on the ground because of her delicateness and tenderness, her eye is evil against the husband of her bosom, and against her son, and against her daughter, 57 and against her seed which comes out from between her feet, and her children whom she bears, for she eats them in secret for lack of all, in the siege and distress with which your enemy distresses you in all your gates.
58 “If you do not guard to do all the Words of this Torah that are written in this book, to fear this esteemed and awesome Name, יהוה your Elohim, 59 then יהוה shall bring upon you and your descendants extraordinary plagues, great and lasting plagues, and grievous and lasting sicknesses.
60 “And He shall bring back on you all the diseases of Mitsrayim, of which you were afraid, and they shall cling to you, 61 also every sickness and every plague, which is not written in the book of this Torah, יהוה does bring upon you until you are destroyed. 62 “And you shall be left with few men, although you had become as numerous as the stars of the heavens, because you did not obey the voice of יהוה your Elohim. 63 “And it shall be, that as יהוה rejoiced over you to do you good and increase you, so יהוה does rejoice over you to destroy you and lay you waste. And you shall be plucked from off the land which you go to possess. 64 “And יהוה shall scatter you among all peoples, from one end of the earth to the other, and there you shall serve other mighty ones, which neither you nor your fathers have known, wood and stone.
65 “And among those nations you are to find no rest, nor have a resting place for the sole of your foot. But there יהוה shall give you a trembling heart, and failing eyes, and sorrow of being. 66 “And your life shall be hanging in suspense before you, and you shall fear day and night, and not be certain of your life. 67 “In the morning you say, ‘Oh, that it were evening!’ And at evening you say, ‘Oh, that it were morning!’ because of the fear of your heart, with which you fear, and because of the sight which your eyes see. 68 “And יהוה shall bring you back to Mitsrayim in ships, by a way of which I said to you, ‘You are never to see it again.’ And there you shall be sold to your enemies as male and female slaves, but no one to buy.”
Deuteronomy 29:
9 “Therefore you shall guard the words of this covenant, and do them, so that you prosper in all that you do. 10 “All of you are standing today before יהוה your Elohim: your leaders, your tribes, your elders and your officers, all the men of Yisra’ĕl, 11 your little ones, your wives, and your sojourner who is in the midst of your camp, from the one who cuts your wood to the one who draws your water, 12 so that you should enter into covenant with יהוה your Elohim, and into His oath, which יהוה your Elohim makes with you today, 13 in order to establish you today as a people for Himself, and He Himself be your Elohim, as He has spoken to you, and as He has sworn to your fathers, to Aḇraham, to Yitsḥaq, and to Ya‛aqoḇ.
14 “And not with you alone I am making this covenant and this oath, 15 but with him who stands here with us today before יהוה our Elohim, as well as with him who is not here with us today. 16 “For you know how we dwelt in the land of Mitsrayim and how we passed through the nations which you passed through, 17 and you saw their abominations and their idols, wood and stone, silver and gold, which were with them, 18 lest there should be among you a man or woman or clan or tribe, whose heart turns away today from יהוה our Elohim, to go and serve the mighty ones of these nations, lest there should be among you a root bearing bitterness or wormwood. 19 “And it shall be, when he hears the words of this curse, that he should bless himself in his heart, saying, ‘I have peace though I walk in the stubbornness of my heart,’ in order to add drunkenness to thirst. 20 “YaHuWaH יהוה would not forgive him, but rather, the displeasure of יהוה and His jealousy shall burn against that man, and every curse that is written in this book shall settle on him, and יהוה shall blot out his name from under the heavens. 21 “And יהוה shall separate him for evil, out of all the tribes of Yisra’ĕl, according to all the curses of the covenant that are written in this Book of the Torah.
22 “And the generation to come of your children who rise up after you, and the foreigner who comes from a far land, shall say when they see the plagues of that land and the sicknesses which יהוה has sent into it: 23 ‘All its land is sulphur, salt, and burning; it is not sown, nor does it bear, nor does any grass grow there, like the overthrow of Seḏom and Amorah, Aḏmah and Tseḇoyim, which יהוה overthrew in His displeasure and His wrath.’ 24 “And all nations shall say, ‘Why has יהוה done so to this land? What does the heat of this great displeasure mean?’
25 “And it shall be said, ‘Because they have forsaken the covenant of יהוה Elohim of their fathers, which He made with them when He brought them out of the land of Mitsrayim. 26 ‘And they went and served other mighty ones and bowed themselves to them, mighty ones that they did not know and that He had not given to them, 27 therefore the displeasure of יהוה burned against this land, to bring on it every curse that is written in this book. 28 ‘And יהוה uprooted them from their land in displeasure, and in wrath, and in great rage, and cast them into another land, as it is today.’ 29“The secret matters belong to יהוה our Elohim, but what is revealed belongs to us and to our children forever, to do all the Words of this Torah.
Joshua 8:
30 And Yehoshua built an altar to יהוה Elohim of Yisra’ĕl in Mount Ěyḇal, 31 as Mosheh the servant of יהוה had commanded the children of Yisra’ĕl, as it is written in the Book of the Torah of Mosheh, “an altar of unhewn stones over which no man has wielded iron.” And they offered on it burnt offerings to יהוה, and slaughtered peace offerings. 32 And there, in the presence of the children of Yisra’ĕl, he wrote on the stones a copy of the Torah of Mosheh, which he had written. 33 And all Yisra’ĕl – the sojourner as well as the native – with their elders and officers and judges, stood on either side of the ark before the priests, the Lĕwites, who bore the ark of the covenant of יהוה. Half of them were in front of Mount Gerizim and half of them in front of Mount Ěyḇal, as Mosheh the servant of יהוה had commanded before, that they should bless the people of Yisra’ĕl.
34 And afterward he read all the words of the Torah, the blessings and the cursings, according to all that is written in the Book of the Torah. 35 There was not a word of all that Mosheh had commanded which Yehoshua did not read before all the assembly of Yisra’ĕl, with the women, and the little ones, and the sojourners who accompanied them.
Joshua 24:
1 And Yehoshua gathered all the tribes of Yisra’ĕl to Sheḵem and called for the elders of Yisra’ĕl, and for their heads, and for their judges, and for their officers. And they presented themselves before Elohim. 2 And Yehoshua said to all the people, “Thus said יהוה Elohim of Yisra’ĕl, ‘Long ago your fathers dwelt beyond the River – Teraḥ, the father of Aḇraham and the father of Naḥor. And they served other mighty ones. 3 ‘So I took your father Aḇraham from beyond the River, and caused him to go through all the land of Kena‛an, and multiplied his offspring and gave him Yitsḥaq. 4 ‘And to Yitsḥaq I gave Ya‛aqoḇ and Ěsaw. And to Ěsaw I gave the mountains of Sĕ‛ir to possess, but Ya‛aqoḇ and his children went down to Mitsrayim. 5 ‘Then I sent Mosheh and Aharon, and plagued Mitsrayim, as I did in their midst. And afterward I brought you out.
6 ‘And I brought your fathers out of Mitsrayim, and you came to the sea. And the Mitsrians pursued your fathers with chariots and horsemen to the Sea of Reeds. 7 ‘And they cried out to יהוה, and He put thick darkness between you and the Mitsrians, and brought the sea upon them, and covered them. And your eyes saw what I did in Mitsrayim. And you dwelt in the wilderness a long time. 8 ‘And I brought you into the land of the Amorites, who dwelt beyond the Yardĕn, and they fought with you. But I gave them into your hand, and you possessed their land, and I destroyed them from before you. 9 ‘And Balaq son of Tsippor, sovereign of Mo’aḇ, rose up and fought against Yisra’ĕl, and sent and called for Bil‛am son of Be‛or to curse you. 10 ‘But I refused to listen to Bil‛am, so he continued to bless you, and I delivered you out of his hand. 11 ‘And you passed over the Yardĕn and came to Yeriḥo. And the masters of Yeriḥo, the Amorite, and the Perizzite, and the Kena‛anite, and the Ḥittite, and the Girgashite, and the Ḥiwwite, and the Yeḇusite fought against you. But I gave them into your hand. 12 ‘And I sent the hornet before you which drove them out from before you, also the two sovereigns of the Amorites, but not with your sword or with your bow. 13 ‘And I gave you a land for which you did not labour, and cities which you did not build. And you dwell in them, you eat of the vineyards and olive-trees which you did not plant.’
14 “And now, fear יהוה, serve Him in perfection and in truth, and put away the mighty ones which your fathers served beyond the River and in Mitsrayim, and serve יהוה YaHuWaH! 15 “And if it seems evil in your eyes to serve יהוה, choose for yourselves this day whom you are going to serve, whether the mighty ones which your fathers served that were beyond the River, or the mighty ones of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But I and my house, we serve יהוה YaHuWaH.” 16 And the people answered and said, “Far be it from us to forsake יהוה, to serve other mighty ones, 17 for יהוה our Elohim is He who has brought us and our fathers up out of the land of Mitsrayim, from the house of bondage, who did those great signs before our eyes, and has guarded us in all the way that we went and among all the people through whom we passed. 18 “And יהוה drove out from before us all the people, even the Amorites who dwelt in the land. We too serve יהוה, for He is our Elohim.”
19 Then Yehoshua said to the people, “You are not able to serve יהוה, for He is a set-apart Elohim, a jealous Ěl is He. He does not bear with your transgression and with your sins, 20 if you forsake יהוה and shall serve mighty ones of a stranger. Then He shall turn back and do you evil and consume you, after He has been good to you.” 21 And the people said to Yehoshua, “No, but we do serve יהוה YaHuWaH!” 22 Then Yehoshua said to the people, “You are witnesses against yourselves that you have chosen יהוה for yourselves, to serve Him.” And they said, “Witnesses!” 23 “And now, put away the mighty ones of the stranger which are in your midst, and incline your heart to יהוה Elohim of Yisra’ĕl.” 24 And the people said to Yehoshua, “יהוה our Elohim we serve, and His voice we obey.” 25 And Yehoshua made a covenant with the people that day, and laid on them a law and a right-ruling in Sheḵem. 26 Then Yehoshua wrote these words in the Book of the Torah of Elohim. And he took a large stone, and set it up there under the oak that was by the set-apart place of יהוה YaHuWaH. 27 And Yehoshua said to all the people, “See, this stone is a witness to us, for it has heard all the words of יהוה which He spoke to us. And it shall be a witness against you, lest you lie against your Elohim.”
28 Then Yehoshua sent the people away, each to his own inheritance. 29 And after these events it came to be that Yehoshua son of Nun, the servant of יהוה, died, one hundred and ten years old. 30 And they buried him within the border of his inheritance at Timnath Seraḥ, which is in the mountains of Ephrayim, on the north side of Mount Ga‛ash. 31 And Yisra’ĕl served יהוה all the days of Yehoshua, and all the days of the elders who outlived Yehoshua, who had known all the works of יהוה which He had done for Yisra’ĕl.
2 Chronicles 7:
11 Thus Shelomoh finished the House of יהוה and the sovereign’s house. And all that came into the heart of Shelomoh to do in the House of יהוה and in his own house, he prosperously executed. 12 And יהוה appeared to Shelomoh by night, and said to him, “I have heard your prayer, and have chosen this place for Myself as a house of slaughtering. 13 “If I shut up the heavens and there is no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among My people, 14 and My people upon whom My Name is called, shall humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their evil ways, then I shall hear from the heavens, and forgive their sin and heal their land. 15“Now, My eyes are open and My ears attentive to the prayer of this place. 16“And now, I have chosen and set this house apart for My Name to be there forever. And My eyes and My heart shall always be there.
17 “And you, if you walk before Me as your father Dawiḏ walked, and do according to all that I have commanded you, and if you guard My laws and My right-rulings, 18 then I shall establish the throne of your reign, as I covenanted with Dawiḏ your father, saying, ‘There is not to cease a man of yours as ruler in Yisra’ĕl.’ 19 “But if you turn away and forsake My laws and My commands which I have set before you, and shall go and serve other mighty ones, and bow yourself to them, 20 then I shall pluck them from My land, which I have given them, and this house which I have set apart for My Name I shall cast out of My sight and make it to be a proverb and a mockery among all peoples. 21 “And this house, which has been exalted, everyone who passes by it is shall be astonished and say, ‘Why has יהוה done thus to this land and this house?’ 22 “Then they shall say, ‘Because they forsook יהוה Elohim of their fathers, who brought them out of the land of Mitsrayim, and embraced other mighty ones, and bowed themselves to them and served them, therefore He has brought all this evil on them.’ ”
Jeremiah 16:
1 And the word of יהוה came to me, saying, 2 “Do not take a wife, nor have sons or daughters in this place.” 3 For thus said יהוה concerning the sons and daughters who are born in this place, and concerning their mothers who bear them and their fathers who bring them forth in this land, 4 “They shall die of deaths from diseases, they shall not be lamented nor be buried, but be like dung on the face of the earth, and be consumed by sword and by scarcity of food. And their corpses shall be meat for the birds of the heavens and for the beasts of the earth.” 5 For thus said יהוה, “Do not enter the house of mourning, neither go to lament or mourn for them, for I have withdrawn My peace from this people,” declares יהוה, “even the kindness and the compassions. 6 “Both great and small shall die in this land. They shall not be buried, and no one shall lament for them, or cut themselves, or make themselves bald for them. 7 “Neither shall they break bread in mourning for them to comfort them for the dead, nor give them the cup of comfort to drink for their father or their mother. 8 “Do not enter the house of feasting to sit with them, to eat and drink.”
9 For thus said יהוה of hosts, the Elohim of Yisra’ĕl, “See, before your eyes and in your days, I am making the voice of rejoicing and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride to cease in this place. 10 “And it shall be, when you declare to this people all these words, and they shall say to you, ‘Why has יהוה pronounced all this great evil against us? And what is our crookedness, and what is our sin that we have committed against יהוה our Elohim?’ 11 then you shall say to them, ‘Because your fathers have forsaken Me,’ declares יהוה, ‘and have walked after other mighty ones and served them and bowed themselves to them, and have forsaken Me, and did not guard My Torah. 12 ‘And you have done more evil than your fathers, for look, each one walks according to the stubbornness of his own evil heart, without listening to Me. 13 ‘So I shall throw you out of this land into a land that you do not know, neither you nor your fathers. And there you shall serve other mighty ones day and night, where I show you no favour.’
14 “Therefore see, the days are coming,” declares יהוה, “when it is no longer said, ‘יהוה lives who brought up the children of Yisra’ĕl from the land of Mitsrayim,’ 15 but, ‘יהוה lives who brought up the children of Yisra’ĕl from the land of the north and from all the lands where He had driven them.’ For I shall bring them back into their land I gave to their fathers. 16 “See, I am sending for many fishermen,” declares יהוה, “and they shall fish them. And after that I shall send for many hunters, and they shall hunt them from every mountain and every hill, and out of the holes of the rocks. 17 “For My eyes are on all their ways; they have not been hidden from My face, nor has their crookedness been hidden from My eyes. 18 “And first I shall repay double for their crookedness and their sin, because they have defiled My land with the dead bodies of their disgusting matters, and have filled My inheritance with their abominations.” 19 O יהוה, my strength and my stronghold and my refuge, in the day of distress the gentiles shall come to You from the ends of the earth and say, “Our fathers have inherited only falsehood, futility, and there is no value in them.” 20 Would a man make mighty ones for himself, which are not mighty ones? 21 “Therefore see, I am causing them to know, this time I cause them to know My hand and My might. And they shall know that My Name is יהוה!”
Jeremiah 22: [This was written to the King, however YaHuWaH is no respecter of persons. It is applicable to us.]
1 Thus said יהוה, “Go down to the house of the sovereign of Yehuḏah. And there you shall speak this word, 2 and shall say, ‘Hear the word of יהוה, O sovereign of Yehuḏah, you who sit on the throne of Dawiḏ, you and your servants and your people who enter these gates! 3 ‘Thus said יהוה, “Do right-ruling and righteousness, and deliver him who is robbed out of the hand of the oppressor. Do not maltreat nor do violence to the stranger, the fatherless, or the widow, nor shed innocent blood in this place. 4 “For if you certainly do this word, then there shall enter in by the gates of this house sovereigns sitting on the throne of Dawiḏ, riding on horses and in chariots, he and his servants and his people. 5 “But if you do not obey these words, I swear by Myself,” declares יהוה, “that this house shall become a ruin.” ’ ” 6 For thus said יהוה to the house of the sovereign of Yehuḏah, “You are like Gil‛aḏ to Me, the head of Leḇanon. But I shall make you a wilderness, and cities which are not inhabited. 7 “And I shall prepare destroyers against you, each with his weapons. And they shall cut down your choice cedars and throw them into the fire. 8 “And many gentiles shall pass by this city, and they shall say to one another, ‘Why has יהוה done so to this great city?’ 9 “Then they shall say, ‘Because they have forsaken the covenant of יהוה their Elohim, and bowed themselves to other mighty ones and served them.’ ” 10 Do not weep for the dead, nor mourn for him. Weep bitterly for him who goes away, for he shall never come back nor see the land of his birth. 11 For thus said יהוה concerning Shallum son of Yoshiyahu, sovereign of Yehuḏah, who reigned instead of Yoshiyahu his father, who went from this place, “He shall never come back, 12 but he shall die in the place where they have exiled him, and not see this land again.
13 “Woe to him who builds his house without righteousness and his rooms without right-ruling, who uses his neighbour’s service without wages and does not give him his wages, 14 who says, ‘I am going to build myself a wide house with spacious rooms, and cut out windows for it, panelling it with cedar and painting it in red.’ 15 “Do you reign because you enclose yourself in cedar? Did not your father eat and drink, and do right-ruling and righteousness? Then it was well with him. 16 “He defended the cause of the poor and needy – then it was well. Was this not to know Me?” declares יהוה YaHuWaH. 17 “But your eyes and your heart are only upon your own greedy gain, and on shedding innocent blood, and on oppression and on doing violence.”
18 Therefore thus said יהוה concerning Yehoyaqim son of Yoshiyahu, sovereign of Yehuḏah, “Let them not lament for him: ‘Alas, my brother!’ or ‘Alas, my sister!’ Let them not lament for him: ‘Alas, master!’ or ‘Alas, his excellency!’ 19 “He shall be buried with the burial of a donkey, dragged and thrown outside the gates of Yerushalayim. 20 “Go up to Leḇanon, and cry out, and lift up your voice in Bashan. And cry from Aḇarim, for all your lovers are destroyed. 21 “I have spoken to you in your ease, but you said, ‘I do not listen.’ This has been your way from your youth, for you did not obey My voice.
22 “Let all your shepherds be devoured by the wind, and your lovers go into captivity. Then you shall be ashamed and humiliated for all your evil. 23“You who dwell in Leḇanon, being nested in the cedars, how you shall groan when pangs come upon you, like the pains of a woman giving birth!
24“As I live,” declares יהוה, “though Konyahu son of Yehoyaqim, sovereign of Yehuḏah, were the signet on My right hand, I would still pull you off from there; 25and I shall give you into the hand of those who seek your life, and into the hand of those whose face you fear, into the hand of Neḇuḵaḏretstsar sovereign of Baḇel and the hand of the Chaldeans. 26“And I shall hurl you out, and your mother who bore you, into another land where you were not born, and there you shall die. 27“But they shall not return to the land to which their being yearns to return. 28“Is this man Konyahu a despised broken pot, or an undesirable vessel? Why are they hurled out, he and his descendants, and cast into a land which they do not know? 29“O land, land, land! Hear the word of יהוה YaHuWaH! 30“Thus said יהוה, ‘Write this man down as childless, a strong man who is not to prosper in his days, for none of his descendants shall prosper, sitting on the throne of Dawiḏ, or rule any more in Yehuḏah.’ ”
Daniel 11:
27 “And both these sovereigns’ hearts are to do evil, and speak lies at the same table, but not prosper, for the end is still for an appointed time. 28 “Then he shall return to his land with much supplies, and his heart be against the set-apart covenant. And he shall act, and shall return to his land. 29 “At the appointed time he shall return and go toward the south, but it shall not be like the former or the latter. 30 “For ships from Kittim shall come against him, and he shall lose heart, and shall return in rage against the set-apart covenant, and shall act, and shall return and consider those who forsake the set-apart covenant. 31 “And strong ones shall arise from him and profane the set-apart place, the stronghold, and shall take away that which is continual, and set up the abomination that lays waste. 32 “And by flatteries he shall profane those who do wrong against the covenant, but the people who know their Elohim shall be strong, and shall act. 33 “And those of the people who have insight shall give understanding to many. And they shall stumble by sword and flame, by captivity and plundering, for days. 34 “And when they stumble, they shall be helped, a little help, but many shall join them, by flatteries. 35 “And some of those who have insight shall stumble, to refine them, and to cleanse them, and to make them white, until the time of the end, for it is still for an appointed time.
36 “And the sovereign shall do as he pleases, and exalt himself and show himself to be great above every mighty one, and speak incredible matters against the Ěl of mighty ones, and shall prosper until the wrath has been accomplished – for what has been decreed shall be done –37 and have no regard for the mighty ones of his fathers nor for the desire of women, nor have regard for any mighty one, but exalt himself above them all. 38 “But in his place he shall give esteem to a mighty one of strongholds. And to a mighty one which his fathers did not know he shall give esteem with gold and silver, with precious stones and costly gifts. 39 “And he shall act against the strongest strongholds with a foreign mighty one, which he shall acknowledge. He shall increase in esteem and cause them to rule over many, and divide the land for gain. 40“At the time of the end the sovereign of the South shall push at him, and the sovereign of the North rush against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships. And he shall enter the lands, and shall overflow and pass over, 41 and shall enter the Splendid Land, and many shall stumble, but these escape from his hand: Eḏom, and Mo’aḇ, and the chief of the sons of Ammon.
Nehemiah13:
23 In those days I also saw Yehuḏim who had married women of Ashdoḏ, Ammon, Mo’aḇ. 24 And half of their children spoke the language of Ashdoḏ, and could not speak the language of Yehuḏah, but spoke according to the language of one or the other people. 25 Then I contended with them and cursed them, and smote some of them and pulled out their hair, and made them swear by Elohim, saying, “You do not give your daughters as wives to their sons, nor take their daughters for your sons or yourselves.
26 “Did not Shelomoh sovereign of Yisra’ĕl sin because of them? Among the many nations there was no sovereign like him, who was beloved of his Elohim, and Elohim made him sovereign over all Yisra’ĕl. Even him foreign women caused to sin. 27 “Should we then hear of your doing all this great evil, trespassing against our Elohim by marrying foreign wives?”28 And one of the sons of Yoyaḏa, son of Elyashiḇ the high priest, was a son-in-law of Sanballat the Ḥoronite. And I drove him from me.
29 Remember them, O my Elohim, because they have defiled the priesthood and the covenant of the priesthood, and of the Lĕwites. 30 Thus I cleansed them from all that is foreign. And I appointed duties to the priests and the Lĕwites, each in his task, 31 and for the wood offering and the first-fruits at appointed times. Remember me, O my Elohim, for good!
Ezra 9:
1 And when these matters had been done, the leaders came to me, saying, “The people of Yisra’ĕl and the priests and the Lĕwites have not separated themselves from the peoples of the lands, as to their abominations, those of the Kena‛anites, the Ḥittites, the Perizzites, the Yeḇusites, the Ammonites, the Mo’aḇites, the Mitsrites, and the Amorites, 2 for they have taken some of their daughters as wives for themselves and their sons, so that the set-apart seed is intermingled with the peoples of those lands. And the hand of the leaders and rulers has been foremost in this trespass.” 3 And when I heard this word, I tore my garment and my robe, and plucked out some of the hair of my head and beard, and sat down astonished. 4 Then all those who trembled at the words of the Elohim of Yisra’ĕl gathered to me, because of the trespass of the exiles, and I sat astonished until the evening offering. 5 And at the evening offering I rose from my affliction. And having torn my garment and my robe, I fell on my knees and spread out my hands to יהוה my Elohim, 6 and said, “O my Elohim, I am too ashamed and wounded to lift up my face to You, my Elohim, for our crookednesses have risen higher than our heads, and our guilt has grown up to the heavens. 7 “Since the days of our fathers to this day we have been very guilty, and for our crookednesses we, our sovereigns, and our priests have been given into the hand of the sovereigns of the lands, to the sword, to captivity, and to plunder, and to shame of faces, as it is this day.
8 “But now, for a short while, favour has been shown from יהוה our Elohim, to leave us a remnant to escape, and to give us a peg in His set-apart place, that our Elohim might enlighten our eyes and give us a little reviving in our bondage. 9 “For we were slaves, but in our bondage our Elohim did not forsake us, and extended kindness to us in the presence of the sovereigns of Persia, to revive us, to raise up the House of our Elohim, to restore its ruins, and to give us a wall in Yehuḏah and Yerushalayim.
10 “And now, O our Elohim, what do we say after this? For we have forsaken Your commands, 11 which You have commanded by Your servants the prophets, saying, ‘The land which you are going in to possess is a land unclean through the uncleanness of the peoples of the lands, by their abominations with which they have filled it, from one end to another, by their uncleanness. 12 ‘And now, do not give your daughters as wives for their sons, nor take their daughters to your sons. And do not seek their peace or wealth ever, so that you are strong, and shall eat the good of the land, and leave it as an inheritance to your children forever.’ 13 “And after all that has come upon us for our evil deeds and for our great guilt, since You our Elohim have held back the rod upon our crookednesses, and have given us such deliverance as this, 14 should we turn back, to break Your commands, and join in marriage with the people of these abominations? Would You not be enraged with us until You had consumed us, so that there would be no remnant or survivor? 15 “O יהוה Elohim of Yisra’ĕl, You are righteous, for we are left as a remnant, as it is this day. See, we are before You, in our guilt, for there is no one to stand before You concerning this!”
Ezra 10:
1 And while Ezra was praying, and while he was confessing, weeping, and bowing down before the House of Elohim, a very large assembly – men and women and children – gathered unto him from Yisra’ĕl, for the people wept very bitterly. 2 And Sheḵanyah son of Yeḥi’ĕl, one of the sons of Olam, spoke up and said to Ezra, “We have trespassed against our Elohim, and have taken foreign women from the peoples of the land. And now there is expectancy in Yisra’ĕl concerning this. 3 “Now then, let us make a covenant with our Elohim to put away all these wives and those who have been born to them, according to the counsel of יהוה and of those who tremble at the command of our Elohim. And let it be done according to the Torah. 4 “Arise, for the matter is upon you, but we are with you. Be strong and act.”
5 And Ezra rose, and made the leaders of the priests, the Lĕwites, and all Yisra’ĕl, to swear to do according to this word. And they swore. 6 Then Ezra rose up from before the House of Elohim, and went into the room of Yehoḥanan son of Elyashiḇ. And he went there – he ate no bread and drank no water for he mourned because of the trespass of the exiles. 7 And they passed a call throughout Yehuḏah and Yerushalayim to all the sons of the exile, to gather at Yerushalayim, 8 and that whoever would not come within three days, according to the counsel of the leaders and elders, all his goods would be put under a ban, and himself separated from the assembly of the exiles.
9 Then all the men of Yehuḏah and Binyamin gathered at Yerushalayim within three days. It was the ninth month, on the twentieth of the month. And all the people sat in the open space of the House of Elohim, trembling because of the matter and because of showers of rain. 10 And Ezra the priest stood up and said to them, “You, you have trespassed and have taken foreign women, adding to the guilt of Yisra’ĕl. 11 “And now, make confession to יהוה YaHuWaH Elohim of your fathers, and do His desire, and separate yourselves from the peoples of the land, and from the foreign women.” 12 And all the assembly answered and said with a loud voice, “Right! It is upon us to do according to your word. 13 “But the people are many, and it is the season of showers of rain, and we are not able to stand outside. And the work not of one or two days, for we have greatly transgressed in this matter. 14 “Please, let the leaders of all the assembly stand. And let all those in our cities who have taken foreign women come at appointed times, together with the elders and judges of their cities, until the burning wrath of our Elohim is turned away from us in this matter.” 15 Only Yonathan son of Asah’ĕl and Yaḥzeyah son of Tiqwah opposed this, and Meshullam and Shabbethai the Lĕwite gave them support.
16 Then the sons of the exile did so. And Ezra the priest, with certain heads of the fathers’ houses, were separated by the fathers’ houses, each of them by name. And they sat down on the first day of the tenth month to examine the matter. 17 And they finished with all the men who had taken foreign women by the first day of the second month. 18 And among the sons of the priests who had taken foreign women were found of the sons of Yĕshua son of Yotsaḏaq, and his brothers: Ma‛asĕyah, and Eli‛ezer, and Yariḇ, and Geḏalyah. 19 And they gave their hand in pledge to put away their wives. And being guilty, they presented a ram of the flock for their guilt.
20 And of the sons of Immĕr: Ḥanani and Zeḇaḏyah; 21 and of the sons of Ḥarim: Ma‛asĕyah, and Ěliyah, and Shemayah, and Yeḥi’ĕl, and Uzziyah; 22 and of the sons of Pashhur: Elyo‛ĕynai, Ma‛asĕyah, Yishma‛ĕl, Nethanĕ’l, Yozaḇaḏ, and El‛asap. 23 And of the Lĕwites: Yozaḇaḏ, Shim‛i, Qĕlayah – he is Qelita – Pethaḥyah, Yehuḏah, and Eli‛ever. 24 And of the singers: Elyashiḇ. And of the gatekeepers: Shallum, and Telem, and Uri. 25 And of Yisra’ĕl of the sons of Parosh: Ramyah, and Yizziyah, and Malkiyah, and Miyamin, and El‛azar, and Malkiyah, and Benayah; 26 and of the sons of Ěylam: Mattanyah, Zeḵaryah, and Yeḥi’ĕl, and Aḇdi, and Yerĕmoth, and Ěliyah; 27 and of the sons of Zattu: Elyo‛ĕynai, Elyashiḇ, Mattanyah, and Yerĕmoth, and Zaḇaḏ, and Aziza; 28 and of the sons of Bĕḇai: Yehoḥanan, Ḥananyah, Zabbai, and Athlai; 29 and of the sons of Bani: Meshullam, Malluḵ, and Aḏayah, Yashuḇ, and She’al, Ramoth; 30 and of the sons of Paḥath-Mo’aḇ: Aḏna, and Kelal, Benayah, Ma‛asĕyah, Mattanyah, Betsal’ĕl, and Binnui, and Menashsheh; 31 and of the sons of Ḥarim: Eli‛ezer, Yishshiyah, Malkiyah, Shemayah, Shim‛on, 32 Binyamin, Malluḵ, and Shemaryah; 33 of the sons of Ḥashum: Mattenai, Mattattah, Zaḇaḏ, Eliphelet, Yerĕmai, Menashsheh, and Shim‛i; 34 of the sons of Bani: Ma‛aḏai, Amram, and U’ĕl, 35 Benayah, Bĕḏeyah, Kelubu, 36 Wanyah, Merĕmoth, Elyashiḇ, 37 Mattanyah, Mattenai, and Ya‛asu, 38 and Bani, and Binnui, Shim‛i, 39 and Shelemyah, and Nathan, and Aḏayah, 40 Maḵnaḏeḇai, Shashai, Sharai, 41 Azar’ĕl, and Shelemyahu, Shemaryah, 42 Shallum, Amaryah, and Yosĕph; 43 of the sons of Neḇo: Ye‛i’ĕl, Mattithyah, Zaḇaḏ, Zeḇina, Yaddu, and Yo’ĕl, Benayah. 44 All these had taken foreign women, and some of them had women who had borne children.
Hosea 2:
1 “Say to your brothers, ‘O my people,’ and to your sisters, ‘O, compassioned one.’ 2 “Strive with your mother, strive, for she is not My wife, nor am I her Husband! Let her put away her whorings from her face, and her adulteries from between her breasts, 3 lest I strip her naked, and shall set her up as on the day she was born, and shall make her like a wilderness, and shall set her like a dry land, and shall put her to death with thirst. 4 “And I shall not have compassion on her children, for they are the children of whorings. 5 “For their mother has whored, she who conceived them has acted shamelessly. For she said, ‘I go after my lovers, who give me my bread and my water, my wool and my linen, my oil and my drink.’ 6 “Therefore, see, I am hedging up your way with thorns, and I shall wall her in, so that she does not find her paths. 7 “And she shall pursue her lovers but not overtake them, and shall seek them but not find them. Then she shall say, ‘Let me go and return to my first husband, for then it was better for me than now.’ 8 “And she did not acknowledge that I gave her grain, and new wine, and oil, and increased her silver and gold which they prepared for Ba‛al [translated, this word is ‘Lord’]. 9 “Therefore I shall turn back and shall take my grain in its time and My new wine in its season, and I shall take away My wool and My linen covering her nakedness. 10 “And now I shall uncover her shame before the eyes of her lovers, and no one shall deliver her from My hand.11 “And I shall cause all her rejoicing, her festivals, her New Moons, and her Sabbaths, even all her appointed times, to cease, 12 and lay waste her vines and her fig trees, of which she has said, ‘these are my rewards that my lovers have given me.’ And I shall make them a forest, and the beasts of the field shall eat them. 13 “And I shall punish her for the days of the Ba‛als to which she burned incense and adorned herself with her rings and jewelry, and went after her lovers, and forgot Me,” declares יהוה YaHuWaH. 14 “Therefore, see, I am alluring her, and shall lead her into the wilderness, and shall speak to her heart, 15 and give to her vineyards from there, and the Valley of Aḵor as a door of expectation. And there she shall respond as in the days of her youth, as in the day when she came up from the land of Mitsrayim. 16 “And it shall be, in that day,” declares יהוה, “that you call Me ‘my Husband,’ and no longer call Me ‘my Ba‛al’ [‘my Lord’]. 17 “And I shall remove the names of the Ba‛all [Lords] from her mouth, and they shall no more be remembered by their name. 18 “And in that day I shall make a covenant for them with the beasts of the field, and with the birds of the heavens, and with the creeping creatures of the ground, when bow, and sword, and battle I break from the earth. And I shall make them lie down in safety.

19“And I shall take you as a bride unto Me forever, and take you as a bride unto Me in righteousness, and in right-ruling, and kindness and compassion. 20 “And I shall take you as a bride unto Me in trustworthiness, and you shall know יהוה YaHuWaH. 21 “And it shall be in that day that I answer,” declares יהוה, “that I answer the heavens, and they answer the earth, 22 and the earth answer the grain and the new wine and the oil, and they answer Yizre‛ĕl. 23 “And I shall sow her for Myself in the earth, and I shall have compassion on her who had not obtained compassion. And I shall say to those who were not My people, ‘You are My people,’ while they say, ‘My Elohim!’ ”
Hosea 3:
1 Then יהוה said to me, “Go again, love a woman loved by a friend, and an adulteress, according to the love of יהוה for the children of Yisra’ĕl, though they are turning to other mighty ones and love their raisin cakes.” 2 So I bought her for myself for fifteen pieces of silver, and one and one-half ḥomers of barley. 3 And I said to her, “You are to remain with me many days, you are not to whore, nor become any man’s, and so I shall also be towards you.” 4 For many days the children of Yisra’ĕl are to remain without sovereign and without prince, and without slaughtering, and without pillar, and without shoulder garment or house idols. 5 Afterward the children of Yisra’ĕl shall return, and seek יהוה their Elohim, and Dawiḏ their sovereign, and fear יהוה and His goodness, in the latter days.
Hosea 4:
1 Hear the word of יהוה, you children of Yisra’ĕl, for יהוה has a case against the inhabitants of the land: “For there is no truth or kindness or knowledge of Elohim in the land. 2 “Swearing, and lying, and murdering, and stealing, and committing adultery have increased. And bloodshed follows bloodshed. 3 “Therefore the land mourns, and everyone living there languishes, with the beasts of the field and the birds of the heavens. And the fish of the sea are taken away. 4 “However, let no one strive or reprove another, for your people are like those striving with a priest. 5 “And you shall stumble in the day, and the prophet shall also stumble with you in the night. And I shall make your mother perish. 6 “My people have perished for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I reject you from being priest for Me. Since you have forgotten the Torah of your Elohim, I also forget your children.

7 “As they were increased, so they sinned against Me. My esteem they have changed into shame. 8 “They eat the sin of My people, and lift up their desire to their crookedness. 9 “And it shall be: like people, like priest. And I shall punish them for their ways, and reward them for their deeds. 10 “And they shall eat but not be satisfied, they shall whore but not increase, for they have stopped obeying יהוה YaHuWaH. 11 “Whoring, and wine, and new wine enslave the heart. 12 “My people ask from their Wood, and their Staff declares to them. For a spirit of whorings has led them astray, and they went whoring from under their Elohim. 13 “They slaughter on the mountaintops, and burn incense on the hills, under oak and poplars and terebinth, because its shade is good. Therefore your daughters commit whoring, and your brides commit adultery. 14 “I would not punish your daughters when they commit whoring, nor your brides when they commit adultery, for the men themselves go aside with whores, and offer with cult prostitutes a people that do not understand are thrust down! 15 “Though you are a whore, Yisra’ĕl, let not Yehuḏah become guilty. Do not come up to Gilgal, nor go up to Bĕyth Awen, nor swear an oath, saying, ‘As יהוה lives!’ 16 “For Yisra’ĕl is stubborn, like a stubborn calf. Would יהוה now feed them like a lamb in a broad place?
17 “Ephrayim is joined to idols, let him alone. 18“Their drink is sour, they have whored continually. Her rulers wildly loved shame. 19 “A wind has bound her up in its wings, and they are ashamed because of their slaughterings.
Hosea 5:
3 “I have known Ephrayim, and Yisra’ĕl has not been hidden from Me. For now, O Ephrayim, you have whored, Yisra’ĕl is defiled. 4 “Their deeds do not allow them to turn back to their Elohim, for the spirit of whorings is among them, and they do not know יהוה YaHuWaH. 5 “And the Excellency of Yisra’ĕl shall witness to his face, and Yisra’ĕl and Ephrayim stumble in their crookedness. Yehuḏah shall also stumble with them. 6 “With their flocks and herds they go to seek יהוה, but do not find Him – He has withdrawn from them. 7 “They have acted treacherously against יהוה, for they have brought forth strange children. Now a new moon shall devour them with their portions. 9 “Ephrayim is laid waste in the day of rebuke. Among the tribes of Yisra’ĕl I shall make known what is certain. 10 “The chiefs of Yehuḏah shall be like those who remove a border – on them I pour out my wrath like water.

11 “Ephrayim is oppressed, crushed in judgment, because it pleased him to walk after other latter day command/order. 12 “So I am to Ephrayim like a moth, and to the house of Yehuḏah like rottenness. 13 “When Ephrayim saw his sickness, and Yehuḏah saw his wound, then Ephrayim went to Ashshur and sent to Sovereign Yarĕḇ. But he is unable to heal you, or to remove the wound from you. 14 “For I am like a lion to Ephrayim, and like a young lion to the house of Yehuḏah. I Myself tear them and go, I take them away, and there is no one to deliver. 15 “I shall go, I shall return to My place, until they confess their guilt and seek My face, in their distress diligently search for Me, and say,
Hosea 6:
1 ‘Come, and let us turn back to יהוה. For He has torn but He does heal us, He has stricken but He binds us up. 2 ‘After two days He shall revive us, on the third day He shall raise us up, so that we live before Him. 3 ‘So let us know, let us pursue to know יהוה. His going forth is as certain as the morning. And He comes to us like the rain, like the latter rain watering the earth.’
4 “Ephrayim, what would I do with you? Yehuḏah, what would I do with you? For your trustworthiness is like a morning cloud, and like the early dew it goes away. 5 “Therefore I have hewn them by the prophets, I have slain them by the words of My mouth. And my right-rulings break forth as the light. 6 “For I delight in kindness and not slaughtering, and in the knowledge of Elohim more than burnt offerings. 7 “But like Aḏam they transgressed the covenant. There they acted treacherously against Me. 10 “I have seen a horrible matter in the house of Yisra’ĕl: the whoring of Ephrayim is there, Yisra’ĕl is defiled. 11 “Also, a harvest is appointed for you, O Yehuḏah, when I turn back the captivity of My people.
Hosea 7:
8 “Ephrayim mixes himself among the peoples, Ephrayim has become a cake unturned. 9 “Strangers have devoured his strength, but he does not know it. Grey hairs are also sprinkled on him, and he does not know it. 10 “And the Excellency of Yisra’ĕl did witness to his face, but they did not return to יהוה their Elohim, nor did they seek Him for all this. 11“And Ephrayim has become a simple dove without heart, they have called on Mitsrayim, they have gone to Ashshur. 12 “When they go I spread My net over them, I bring them down like the birds of the heavens, I chastise them as their congregation has heard. 13 “Woe to them, for they have strayed from Me! Destruction to them, because they have transgressed against Me! And I Myself have ransomed them, yet they have spoken falsehoods against Me, 14 and did not cry out to Me with their heart when they wailed upon their beds. For grain and new wine they assemble themselves; they turn away from Me. 15 “And I instructed, I strengthened their arms, but they plot evil against Me. 16 “They return, but not to the Most High. They have been like a slack bow. Their rulers fall by the sword for the cursings of their tongue. This is their scorn in the land of Mitsrayim.
Hosea 8:
1 “Put the ram’s horn to your mouth, like an eagle against the House of יהוה, because they have transgressed My covenant, and they have rebelled against My Torah. 2 “They cry out to Me, ‘My Elohim – we, Yisra’ĕl, know You!’
3 “Yisra’ĕl has rejected what is good, an enemy pursues him. 4“They have made sovereigns, but not from Me. They have made rulers, but I have not known. From their silver and gold they made idols for themselves, so that they are cut off. 5 “O Shomeron, your calf has been cast off! My wrath has burned against them. How long shall they be incapable of innocence? 6 “For from Yisra’ĕl is even this: a workman made it, and it is not Elohim! For the calf of Shomeron is splinters!
7 “For they sow the wind, and reap the whirlwind. The stalk has no bud, it yields no grain. If it does yield, strangers swallow it up. 8 “Yisra’ĕl has been swallowed up. They have now become among the nations as a vessel in which is no pleasure. 9 “For they themselves have gone up to Ashshur. A wild donkey alone by itself is Ephrayim, they have hired lovers.

10 “Also, although they sold themselves among the nations, this time I shall gather them, when they have suffered for a while from the burden of a sovereign, of rulers. 11 “Since Ephrayim has made many altars for sin, they have been altars for sinning to him. 12 “I have written for him numerous matters of My Torah – they were regarded as strange. 13 “As for My offerings: they slaughter flesh and they eat. יהוה shall not accept them. Now does He remember their crookedness and punish their sins. Let them return to Mitsrayim! 14 “For Yisra’ĕl has forgotten his Maker, and has built palaces. And Yehuḏah has increased walled cities. But I shall send fire upon his cities, and it shall devour his strongholds.”
Hosea 9:
13 “I have seen Ephrayim, like Tsor, planted in a pleasant place. But Ephrayim shall bring out his children to the murderer.” 14 Give them, O יהוה – give what? Give them a miscarrying womb and dry breasts. 15 “All their evil is in Gilgal, for there I have hated them. Because of the evil of their deeds I drive them from My house, no more do I love them. All their rulers are rebels. 16 “Ephrayim has been smitten, their root has dried up, they yield no fruit. Even if they bear children, I shall put to death the precious ones of their womb.” 17 My Elohim rejects them, because they have not obeyed Him, so that they become wanderers among the gentiles!
Hosea 10:
8 And the high places of Awen [strength, power; manly vigor; wealth, riches; buying , purchasing, deed of purchase; trouble, sorrow, wickedness, iniquity, idolatry], the sin of Yisra’ĕl, shall be destroyed, thorn and thistle come up on their altars. And they shall say to the mountains, “Cover us!” and to the hills, “Fall on us!” 9 “O Yisra’ĕl, you have sinned from the days of Gib‛ah. There they stood! The battle in Gib‛ah against the children of perversity did not overtake them. 10 “When I desire, then I bind them. And peoples shall be gathered against them when I bind them for their double guilt. 11 “And Ephrayim is a trained heifer, loving to thresh grain. But I Myself shall pass over her comely neck – I put Ephrayim to the yoke, Yehuḏah ploughs, Ya‛aqoḇ harrows for him.” 12 Sow for yourselves righteousness, reap according to kindness, break up your tillable ground, it is time to seek יהוה, till He comes and rains righteousness on you. 13 You have ploughed wrongness, you have reaped unrighteousness, you have eaten the fruit of lying, because you trusted in your own way, in your many mighty men.
Hosea 11:
7 “My people are bent towards backsliding from Me. Though they call to the Most High, He lifts none of them up. 8 “How could I give you up, Ephrayim? How could I hand you over, Yisra’ĕl? …My heart turns within Me, all My compassion is kindled. 9 “I shall not let the heat of My wrath burn, I shall not turn to destroy Ephrayim. For I am Ěl, and not man, the Set-apart One in your midst, and I shall not come in enmity.
Hosea 12:
1 Ephrayim is feeding on wind, and pursuing an east wind. All the day he increases falsehood and ruin. And they make a covenant with Ashshur, and oil is sent to Mitsrayim. 2 And יהוה has a controversy with Yehuḏah, to punish Ya‛aqoḇ according to his ways, to repay him according to his deeds. 3He took his brother by the heel in the womb, and in his strength he strove with Elohim. 4 He strove with the Messenger and overcame, he wept and sought His favour. He found Him in Bĕyth Ěl, and there He spoke to us – 5 even יהוה Elohim of hosts, יהוה is His remembrance. 6 Therefore, return to your Elohim. Guard kindness and right-ruling, and wait on your Elohim continually. 7 A merchant! In his hand are scales of deceit, he loved to oppress. 8 And Ephrayim says, “Indeed, I have become rich, I have found wealth for myself. In all my labours they shall find in me no crookedness that is sin.” 9 “But I am יהוה your Elohim since the land of Mitsrayim, again I shall make you dwell in tents as in the days of the appointed time. 10 “And I have spoken to the prophets, and have increased visions. And through the prophets I gave parables.” 13 And by a prophet יהוה brought Yisra’ĕl out of Mitsrayim, and by a prophet he was watched over.
Hosea 13:
4 “But I am יהוה your Elohim since the land of Mitsrayim, and an Elohim besides Me you shall not know, for there is no Saviour besides Me. 5 “I knew you in the wilderness, in the land of drought. 6 “When they were fed they were satisfied. They were satisfied and their heart was exalted, therefore they forgot Me. 7 “So I am become like a lion to them, like a leopard I watch by the way, 8 like a bear robbed of her young I attack them and rip open the enclosure of their heart. And there I devour them like a lion, a wild beast tear them apart. 9 “You have destroyed yourself, O Yisra’ĕl, but your help is in Me. 10 “Where is your sovereign now to save you in all your cities, and your rulers of whom you said, ‘Give me a sovereign and rulers’? 11 “I gave you a sovereign in My displeasure, but I took him away in My wrath. 12 “The crookedness of Ephrayim is bound up, his sin is hidden. 13 “Pains of a woman in labour shall come upon him. He is not a wise son, for it is not the time that he should delay at the breaking forth of children. 14 “From the power of the grave I ransom them, from death I redeem them. Where is your plague, O Death? Where is your destruction, O Grave? Repentance is hidden from My eyes. 15 “Though he bears fruit among his brothers, an east wind comes, a wind from יהוה comes up from the wilderness, and it dries up his fountain, and his spring becomes dry – it plunders a treasure of all desirable objects. 16 “Shomeron is held guilty, for she has rebelled against her Elohim – they fall by the sword, their infants are dashed in pieces, and their pregnant women ripped open.”
Hosea 14:
1 O Yisra’ĕl, return to יהוה your Elohim, for you have stumbled by your crookedness. 2 Take words with you, and return to יהוה. Say to Him, “Take away all crookedness, and accept what is good, and we render the bulls of our lips. 3 “Ashshur does not save us. We do not ride on horses, nor ever again do we say to the work of our hands, ‘Our mighty ones.’ For the fatherless finds compassion in You.” 4 “I shall heal their backsliding, I shall love them spontaneously, for My displeasure has turned away from him. 5 “I shall be like the dew to Yisra’ĕl. He shall blossom like the lily, and cast out his roots like Leḇanon. 6“His branches shall spread, and his splendour shall be like an olive tree, and his fragrance like Leḇanon. 7 “Those who dwell under his shadow shall return. They shall revive like grain, and blossom like the vine, and become as fragrant as the wine of Leḇanon. “What more has Ephrayim to do with idols? It is I who answer and look after him. I am like a green cypress tree, your fruit comes from Me.” 9 Who is wise and understands these words, discerning and knows them? For the ways of יהוה are straight, and the righteous walk in them, but the transgressors stumble in them.
Matthew 10:
1 And having called His twelve taught ones near, He gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every disease and every bodily weakness. 2 And these are the names of the twelve emissaries: first, Shim‛on, who is called Kĕpha, and Andri his brother; Ya‛aqoḇ the son of Zaḇdai, and Yoḥanan his brother; 3 Philip and Bartholomi; T’oma and Mattithyahu the tax collector; Ya‛aqoḇ the son of Alphai, and Laḇai whose last name was Taddai; 4 Shim‛on the Kena‛anite, and Yehuḏah from Qerioth, who did also deliver Him up. 5 YaHuWShu’A יהושע sent these twelve out, having commanded them, saying, “Do not go into the way of the gentiles, and do not enter a city of the Shomeronites, 6 but rather go to the lost sheep of the house of Yisra’ĕl.
7 “And as you go, proclaim, saying, ‘The reign of the heavens has drawn near.’ 8 “Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. You have received without paying, give without being paid. 9 “Do not acquire gold or silver or copper for your money belts, 10 or a bag for the journey, or two undergarments, or sandals, or staffs, for the worker is worthy of his food. 11 “And into whatever city or village you enter, ask who is worthy in it, and stay there until you leave. 12 “And as you enter into a house, greet it. 13 “And if the house is worthy, let your peace come upon it. But if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you. 14 “And whoever does not receive you nor hear your words, when you leave that house or city, shake off the dust from your feet. 15 “Truly, I say to you, it shall be more bearable for the land of Seḏom and Amorah in the day of judgment than for that city!
16 “See, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and innocent as doves. 17 “But beware of men, for they shall deliver you up to sanhedrins and flog you in their congregations. 18 “And you shall be brought before governors and sovereigns for My sake, as a witness to them and to the gentiles. 19 “But when they deliver you up, do not worry about how or what you should speak. For it shall be given to you in that hour what you shall speak, 20 for it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father speaking in you.

21 “And brother shall deliver up brother to death, and a father his child. And children shall rise up against parents and shall put them to death. 22 “And you shall be hated by all for My Name’s sake. But he who shall have endured to the end shall be saved.
23 “And when they persecute you in this city, flee to another. For truly, I say to you, you shall by no means have gone through the cities of Yisra’ĕl before the Son of Aḏam comes.
24 “A taught one is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his master. 25 “It is enough for the taught one to become like his teacher, and a servant like his master. If they have called the master of the house Be‛elzebul, how much more those of his household! 26 “Therefore do not fear them. For whatever is covered shall be revealed, and whatever is hidden shall be made known. 27 “What I say to you in the dark, speak in the light. And what you hear in the ear, proclaim on the house-tops.
28 “And do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the being. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both being and body in Gehenna. 29 “Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground without your Father. 30 “And even the hairs of your head are all numbered. 31 “So do not fear, you are worth more than many sparrows. 32 “Everyone, therefore, who shall confess Me before men, him I shall also confess before My Father who is in the heavens. 33“But whoever shall deny Me before men, him I shall also deny before My Father who is in the heavens.
34 “Do not think that I have come to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword, 35 for I have come to bring division, a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law –36 and a man’s enemies are those of his own household. 37 “He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me, and he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. 38 “And he who does not take up his stake and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. 39 “He who has found his life shall lose it, and he that has lost his life for My sake shall find it. 40 “He who receives you receives Me, and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me.
41 “He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward. And he who receives a righteous one in the name of a righteous one shall receive a righteous one’s reward. 42 “And whoever gives one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a taught one, truly, I say to you, he shall by no means lose his reward.”
Matthew 15:
1 Then there came to יהושע scribes and Pharisees from Yerushalayim, saying, 2 “Why do Your taught ones transgress the tradition of the elders? For they do not wash their hands when they eat bread.” 3 But He answering, said to them, “Why do you also transgress the command of Elohima because of your tradition? 4 “For Elohim has commanded, saying, ‘Respect your father and your mother,’ and, ‘He who curses father or mother, let him be put to death.’ 5 “But you say, ‘Whoever says to his father or mother, “Whatever profit you might have received from me has been dedicated,” 6 is certainly released from respecting his father or mother.’ So you have nullified the command of Elohim by your tradition.
7 “Hypocrites! Yeshayahu [‘Isaiah’] rightly prophesied about you, saying, 8 ‘This people draw near to Me with their mouth, and respect Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me. 9‘But in vain do they worship Me, teaching as teachings the commands of men.’ ”
10 And calling the crowd near, He said to them, “Hear and understand: 11 “Not that which goes into the mouth defiles the man, but that which comes out of the mouth, this defiles the man.” 12 Then His taught ones came and said to Him, “Do You know that the Pharisees stumbled when they heard this word?” 13 But He answering, said, “Every plant which My heavenly Father has not planted shall be uprooted. 14 “Leave them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind leads the blind, both shall fall into a ditch.” 15 And Kĕpha answering, said to Him, “Explain this parable to us.” 16 And יהושע YaHuWShu’A said, “Are you also still without understanding? 17 “Do you not understand that whatever enters into the mouth goes into the stomach, and is cast out in the sewer? 18 “But what comes out of the mouth comes from the heart, and these defile the man. 19 “For out of the heart come forth wicked reasonings, murders, adulteries, whorings, thefts, false witnessings, slanders. 20 “These defile the man, but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile the man.”
21 And יהושע YaHuWShu’A went out from there and withdrew to the parts of Tsor and Tsiḏon. 22 And see, a woman of Kena‛an came from those borders and cried out to Him, saying, “Have compassion on me, O Master, Son of Dawiḏ! My daughter is badly demon-possessed.” 23 But He did not answer her a word. And His taught ones came and asked Him, saying, “Send her away, because she cries after us.” 24 And He answering, said, “I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Yisra’ĕl.” 25 But she came and was bowing to Him, saying, “Master, help me!” 26 And He answering, said, “It is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the little dogs.” 27 But she said, “Yea Master, for even the little dogs eat the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.” 28 And יהושע answering, said to her, “O woman, your belief is great! Let it be to you as you desire.” And her daughter was healed from that hour.
John 7:
7 “It is impossible for the world to hate you, but it hates Me because I bear witness of it, that its works are wicked.
14 And about the middle of the festival יהושע YaHuWShu’A went up into the Set-apart Place, and He was teaching. 15 And the Yehuḏim were marvelling, saying, “How does this Man know letters, not having learned?” 16 YaHuWShu’A יהושע answered them and said, “My teaching is not Mine, but His who sent Me. 17 “If anyone desires to do His desire, he shall know concerning the teaching, whether it is from Elohim, or whether I speak from Myself. 18 “He who speaks from himself is seeking his own esteem, but He who seeks the esteem of the One who sent Him is true, and no unrighteousness is in Him.
19“Did not Mosheh give you the Torah? Yet not one of you does the Torah! Why do you seek to kill Me?” 20 The crowd answered and said, “You have a demon, who seeks to kill You?” 21 YaHuWShu’A יהושע answered and said to them, “I did one work, and you all marvel. 22 “Because of this Mosheh has given you the circumcision – though it is not from Mosheh, but from the fathers – and you circumcise a man on the Sabbath. 23 “If a man receives circumcision on the Sabbath, so that the Torah of Mosheh should not be broken, are you wroth with Me because I made a man entirely well on the Sabbath? 24 “Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.” 25 Therefore some of them from Yerushalayim said, “Is this not He whom they are seeking to kill? 26 “And see! He speaks boldly, and they say none at all to Him. Could it be that the rulers truly know that this is truly the Messiah? 27 “But we know where this One is from. And when the Messiah comes, no one knows where He is from.” 28 YaHuWShu’A יהושע therefore cried out in the Set-apart Place, teaching and saying, “You both know Me, and you know where I am from. And I have not come of Myself, but He who sent Me is true, whom you do not know. 29 “But I know Him, because I am from Him, and He sent Me.” 30 So they were seeking to seize Him, but no one laid a hand on Him, because His hour had not yet come. 31 And many of the crowd believed in Him, and said, “When the Messiah comes, shall He do more signs than these which this One did?” 32 The Pharisees heard the crowd muttering these matters concerning Him, and the Pharisees and the chief priests sent officers to seize Him. 33 Therefore יהושע said to them, “Yet a little while I am with you, then I go to Him who sent Me. 34 “You shall seek Me and you shall not find Me, and where I am you are unable to come.” 35 The Yehuḏim, therefore, said to themselves, “Where is He about to go that we shall not find Him? Is He about to go to the Dispersion among the Greeks, and to teach the Greeks? 36 “What is this word which He said, ‘You shall seek Me and you shall not find Me, and where I am you are unable to come’?” 37 And on the last day, the great day of the festival, יהושע stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me, and let him who believes in Me drink. 38 “As the Scripture said, out of His innermost shall flow rivers of living water.” 39 And this He said concerning the Spirit, which those believing in Him were about to receive, for the Set-apart Spirit was not yet given, because יהושע was not yet esteemed. 40 Many from the crowd, when they heard the word, then said, “This truly is the Prophet.” 41 Others said, “This is the Messiah,” but others said, “Does the Messiah then come out of Galil? 42 “Did not the Scripture say that the Messiah comes from the seed of Dawiḏ and from the village of Bĕyth Leḥem, where Dawiḏ was?” 43 So a division came about among the people because of Him. 44 And some of them wished to take Him, but no one laid hands on Him.
John 10:
1 “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who does not enter through the door into the sheepfold, but climbs up by another way, that one is a thief and a robber. 2 “But he who enters through the door is the shepherd of the sheep. 3 “The doorkeeper opens for him, and the sheep hear his voice. And he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. 4 “And when he has brought out his own sheep, he goes before them. And the sheep follow him, because they know his voice. 5 “And they shall by no means follow a stranger, but shall flee from him, because they do not know the voice of strangers. 6 YaHuWShu’A יהושע used this figure of speech, but they did not know what He had been saying to them. 7 YaHuWShu’A יהושע therefore said to them again, “Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. 8 “All who came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them. 9 “I am the door. Whoever enters through Me, he shall be saved, and shall go in and shall go out and find pasture. 10 “The thief does not come except to steal, and to slaughter, and to destroy. I have come that they might possess life, and that they might possess it beyond measure.
11 “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep. 12“But the hireling, and not being a shepherd, one who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees. And the wolf snatches the sheep and scatters them. 13“Now the hireling flees because he is a hireling and is not concerned about the sheep. 14“I am the good shepherd. And I know Mine, and Mine know Me, 15 even as the Father knows Me, and I know the Father. And I lay down My life for the sheep. 16“And other sheep I have which are not of this fold – I have to bring them as well, and they shall hear My voice, and there shall be one flock, one shepherd. 17 “Because of this the Father loves Me, because I lay down My life, in order to receive it again. 18 “No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to receive it again. This command I have received from My Father.”
19 Again there came a division among the Yehuḏim because of these words, 20 and many of them said, “He has a demon and is mad, why do you listen to Him?” 21 Others said, “These are not the words of one possessed by a demon. Is a demon able to open the eyes of the blind?”
22 At that time the Ḥanukkah [Feast of Dedication] came to be in Yerushalayim, and it was winter. 23 And יהושע was walking in the Set-apart Place, in the porch of Shelomoh. 24 So the Yehuḏim surrounded Him and said to Him, “How long do You keep us in suspense? If You are the Messiah, say to us plainly.” 25 YaHuWShu’A יהושע answered them, “I have told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in My Father’s Name, they bear witness concerning Me. 26 “But you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep, as I said to you. 27 “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. 28 “And I give them everlasting life, and they shall by no means ever perish, and no one shall snatch them out of My hand. 29 “My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all. And no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. 30 “I and My Father are one.” 31 Again the Yehuḏim picked up stones to stone Him. 32 YaHuWShu’A יהושע answered them, “Many good works I have shown you from My Father. Because of which of these works do you stone Me?” 33 The Yehuḏim answered Him, saying, “We do not stone You for a good work, but for blasphemy, and because You, being a Man, make Yourself Elohim.” 34 YaHuWShu’A יהושע answered them, “Is it not written in your own Torah, ‘I said, “You are elohim” ’? 35 “If He called them elohim, to whom the word of Elohim came – and it is impossible for the Scripture to be broken –36 do you say of Him whom the Father set apart and sent into the world, ‘You are blaspheming,’ because I said, ‘I am the Son of Elohim’? 37 “If I do not do the works of My Father, do not believe Me; 38 but if I do, though you do not believe Me, believe the works, so that you know and believe that the Father is in Me, and I in Him.” 39 Therefore they were seeking again to seize Him, but He went forth out of their hand, 40 and went once more to the other side of the Yardĕn to the place where Yoḥanan was immersing at first, and there He stayed. 41 And many came to Him and said, “Yoḥanan indeed did no sign, yet all that Yoḥanan said about this Man was true.” 42 And many believed in Him there.
John 17:
1 יהושע YaHuWShu’A said these words, and lifted up His eyes to the heaven, and said, “Father, the hour has come. Esteem Your Son, so that Your Son also might esteem You, 2 as You have given Him authority over all flesh, that He should give everlasting life to all whom You have given Him. 3 “And this is everlasting life, that they should know You, the only true Elohim, and יהושע Messiah whom You have sent. 4 “I have esteemed You on the earth, having accomplished the work You have given Me that I should do. 5 “And now, esteem Me with Yourself, Father, with the esteem which I had with You before the world was.
6 “I have revealed Your Name to the men whom You gave Me out of the world. They were Yours, and You gave them to Me, and they have guarded Your Word. 7 “Now they have come to know that all You gave to Me, is from You. 8 “Because the Words which You gave to Me, I have given to them. And they have received them, and have truly known that I came forth from You, and they believed that You sent Me. 9 “I pray for them. I do not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me, for they are Yours. 10 “And all Mine are Yours, and Yours are Mine, and I have been esteemed in them. 11 “And I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Set-apart Father, guard them in Your Name which You have given Me, so that they might be one, as We are.
12 “When I was with them in the world, I was guarding them in Your Name which You have given Me, and I watched over them, and not one of them perished except the son of destruction, that the Scripture might be filled. 13 “And now I come to You. And I speak these words in the world, so that they have My joy completed in them. 14 “I have given them Your Word, and the world hated them because they are not of the world, as I am not of the world. 15 “I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You keep them from the wicked one. 16 “They are not of the world, as I am not of the world. 17 “Set them apart in Your truth – Your Word is truth.
18 “As You sent Me into the world, I also sent them into the world. 19 “And for them I set Myself apart, so that they too might be set apart in truth. 20“And I do not pray for these alone, but also for those believing in Me through their word, 21 so that they all might be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You, so that they too might be one in Us, so that the world might believe that You have sent Me. 22 “And the esteem which You gave Me I have given them, so that they might be one as We are one, 23 “I in them, and You in Me, so that they might be perfected into one, so that the world knows that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.
24 “Father, I desire that those whom You have given Me, might be with Me where I am, so that they see My esteem which You have given Me, because You loved Me before the foundation of the world. 25 “O righteous Father, indeed the world did not know You, but I knew You, and these knew that You sent Me. 26 “And I have made Your Name known to them, and shall make it known, so that the love with which You loved Me might be in them, and I in them.”
Romans 1:
1 Sha’ul, a servant of יהושע YaHuWShu’A Messiah, a called emissary, separated to the Good News of Elohim, 2 which He promised before through His prophets in the Set-apart Scriptures, 3 concerning His Son, who came of the seed of Dawiḏ according to the flesh, 4 who was designated Son of Elohim with power, according to the Set-apart Spirit, by the resurrection from the dead: יהושע Messiah, the Master of us, 5 through whom we have received favour and office of the emissary for belief-obedience among all the nations on behalf of His Name, 6among whom you also are the called ones of יהושע YaHuWShu’A Messiah. 7 To all who are in Rome, beloved of Elohim, called, set-apart ones: Favour to you and peace from Elohim our Father and the Master יהושע Messiah.
8 First, I truly thank my Elohim through יהושע YaHuWShu’A Messiah for you all, that your belief is spoken of in all the world. 9 For Elohim is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the Good News of His Son, how unceasingly I make mention of you, 10 always asking in my prayers, if at all possible, I shall be blessed by the desire of Elohim, to come to you. 11 For I long to see you, so as to impart some spiritual gift to you, for you to be established, 12 and that is, to be encouraged together among you, each by the other’s belief – both yours and mine. 13 And I do not wish you to be unaware, brothers, that I often purposed to come to you, but was hindered until now, in order to have some fruit among you, as also among the other gentiles.
14 I am a debtor both to Greeks and to foreigners, both to wise and to foolish. 15 That is why I am so eager to bring the Good News also to you who are in Rome. 16 For I am not ashamed of the Good News of Messiah, for it is the power of Elohim for deliverance to everyone who believes, to the Yehuḏite first and also to the Greek. 17 For in it the righteousness of Elohim is revealed from belief to belief, as it has been written, “But the righteous shall live by belief.”
18 For the wrath of Elohim is revealed from heaven against all wickedness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because that which is known of Elohim is manifest among them, for Elohim has manifested it to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible qualities have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, both His everlasting power and Mightiness, for them to be without excuse, 21 because, although they knew Elohim, they did not esteem Him as Elohim, nor gave thanks, but became vain in their reasonings, and their undiscerning heart was darkened. 22 Claiming to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the esteem of the incorruptible Elohim into the likeness of an image of corruptible man, and of birds and of four-footed beasts and of reptiles.
24 Therefore Elohim gave them up to uncleanness in the lust of their hearts, to disrespect their bodies among themselves, 25 who changed the truth of Elohim into the falsehood, and worshipped and served what was created rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amĕn. 26 Because of this Elohim gave them over to degrading passions. For even their women exchanged natural relations for what is against nature, 27 and likewise, the men also, having left natural relations with woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing indecency, and receiving back the reward which was due for their straying.
28 And even as they did not think it worthwhile to possess the knowledge of Elohim, Elohim gave them over to a worthless mind, to do what is improper, 29 having been filled with all unrighteousness, whoring, wickedness, greed, evil; filled with envy, murder, fighting, deceit, evil habits; whisperers, 30 slanderers, haters of Elohim, insolent, proud, boasters, devisers of evils, disobedient to parents, 31 without discernment, covenant breakers, unloving, unforgiving, ruthless; 32 who, though they know the righteousness of Elohim, that those who practise such deserve death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practise them.
Romans 2:
1 Therefore, O man, you are without excuse, everyone who judges, for in which you judge another you condemn yourself, since you who judge practise the same wrongs. 2 And we know that the judgment of Elohim is according to truth against those who practise such wrongs. 3 And do you think, O man, you who judge those practising such wrongs, and doing the same, that you shall escape the judgment of Elohim? 4 Or do you despise the riches of His kindness, and tolerance, and patience, not knowing that the kindness of Elohim leads you to repentance? 5 But according to your hardness and your unrepentant heart you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of Elohim, 6 who “shall render to each one according to his works”: 7 everlasting life to those who by persistence in good work seek for esteem, and respect, and incorruptibility; 8 but wrath and displeasure to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness; 9 affliction and distress on every human being working what is evil, of the Yehuḏite first, and also of the Greek; 10 but esteem, respect, and peace to everyone working what is good, to the Yehuḏite first and also to the Greek.
11 For there is no partiality with Elohim. 12 For as many as sinned without Torah shall also perish without Torah, and as many as sinned in the Torah shall be judged by the Torah. 13 For not the hearers of the Torah are righteous in the sight of Elohim, but the doers of the law shall be declared right. 14 For when gentiles, who do not have the Torah, by nature do what is in the Torah, although not having the Torah, they are a Torah to themselves, 15 who show the work of the Torah written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and between themselves their thoughts accusing or even excusing, 16 in the day when Elohim shall judge the secrets of men through יהושע Messiah, according to my Good News.
17 See, you are called a Yehuḏite, and rest on the Torah, and make your boast in Elohim, 18 and know the desire of Elohim, and approve what is superior, being instructed out of the Torah, 19 and are trusting that you yourself are a guide to the blind, a light to those who are in darkness, 20 an instructor of foolish ones, a teacher of babes, having the form of knowledge and of the truth in the Torah. 21 You, then, who teach another, do you not teach yourself? You who proclaim that a man should not steal, do you steal? 22 You who say, “Do not commit adultery,” do you commit adultery? You who abominate idols, do you rob temples? 23 You who make your boast in the Torah, through the transgression of the Torah do you disrespect Elohim? 24 For “The Name of Elohim is blasphemed among the gentiles because of you,” as it has been written.
25 For circumcision indeed profits if you practise the Torah, but if you are a transgressor of the Torah, your circumcision has become uncircumcision. 26 So, if an uncircumcised one watches over the righteousnesses of the Torah, shall not his uncircumcision be reckoned as circumcision? 27 And the uncircumcised by nature, who perfects the Torah, shall judge you who notwithstanding letter and circumcision are a transgressor of the Torah!
Ephesians 5:22 Wives, subject yourselves to your own husbands, as to the Master. 23 Because the husband is head of the wife, as also the Messiah is head of the assembly, and He is Saviour of the body. 24 But as the assembly is subject to Messiah, so also let the wives be to their own husbands in every respect. 25 Husbands, love your wives, as Messiah also did love the assembly and gave Himself for it, 26 in order to set it apart and cleanse it with the washing of water by the Word, 27 in order to present it to Himself a splendid assembly, not having spot or wrinkle or any of this sort, but that it might be set-apart and blameless.
Hebrews 11:
1 And belief is the substance of what is expected, the proof of what is not seen. 2 For by this the elders obtained witness. 3 By belief, we understand that the ages were prepared by the word of Elohim, so that what is seen was not made of what is visible. 4 By belief, Heḇel offered to Elohim a greater slaughter offering than Qayin, through which he obtained witness that he was righteous, Elohim witnessing of his gifts. And through it, having died, he still speaks. 5 By belief, Ḥanoḵ was translated so as not to see death, “and was not found because Elohim had translated him.” For before his translation he obtained witness, that he pleased Elohim. 6 But without belief it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to Elohim has to believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who earnestly seek Him. 7 By belief, Noaḥ, having been warned of what was yet unseen, having feared, prepared an ark to save his house, through which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to belief. 8 By belief, Aḇraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he was about to receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going. 9 By belief, he sojourned in the land of promise as a stranger, dwelling in tents with Yitsḥaq and Ya‛aqoḇ, the heirs with him of the same promise, 10 for he was looking for the city having foundations, whose builder and maker is Elohim. 11 By belief also, Sarah herself was enabled to conceive seed, and she bore a child when she was past the normal age, because she deemed Him trustworthy who had promised. 12 And so from one, and him as good as dead, were born as numerous as the stars of the heaven, as countless as the sand which is by the seashore. 13 In belief all these died, not having received the promises, but seeing them from a distance, welcomed and embraced them, and confessed that they were aliens and strangers on the earth. 14 For those who speak this way make it clear that they seek a fatherland. 15 And yet, if they had indeed kept remembering that place from which they had come out, they would have had the chance to return. 16 But now they long for a better place, that is, a heavenly. Therefore Elohim is not ashamed to be called their Elohim, for He has prepared a city for them.
17 By belief, Aḇraham, when he was tried, offered up Yitsḥaq, and he who had received the promises offered up his only brought-forth son, 18 of whom it was said, “In Yitsḥaq your seed shall be called,” 19 reckoning that Elohim was able to raise, even from the dead, from which he received him back, as a type.
20 By belief, Yitsḥaq blessed Ya‛aqoḇ and Ěsaw concerning that which was to come. 21 By belief, Ya‛aqoḇ, when he was dying, blessed each of the sons of Yosĕph, and did reverence on the top of his staff. 22 By belief, Yosĕph, when he was dying, made mention of the outgoing of the children of Yisra’ĕl, and gave orders concerning his bones.
23 By belief, Mosheh, having been born, was hidden three months by his parents, because they saw he was a comely child, and were not afraid of the sovereign’s command. 24 By belief, Mosheh, having become great, refused to be called the son of the daughter of Pharaoh, 25 choosing rather to be afflicted with the people of Elohim than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a time, 26 deeming the reproach of Messiah greater riches than the treasures in Mitsrayim, for he was looking to the reward. 27 By belief, he left Mitsrayim, not fearing the wrath of the sovereign, for he was steadfast, as seeing Him who is invisible. 28 By belief, he performed the Passover and the sprinkling of blood, lest he who destroyed the first-born should touch them. 29 By belief, they passed through the Red Sea as by dry land, and when the Mitsrites tried it, they were drowned. 30 By belief, the walls of Yeriḥo fell, having been surrounded for seven days. 31 By belief, Raḥaḇ the whore did not perish with those who did not believe, having received the spies with peace.
32 And what more shall I say? For the time would fail me to relate of Gid‛on and Baraq and Shimshon and Yiphtaḥ, also of Dawiḏ and Shemu’ĕl and the prophets, 33 who through belief, overcame reigns, worked righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, 34 quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, became mighty in battle, put foreign armies to flight. 35 Women received back their dead by resurrection. And others were tortured, not accepting release, to obtain a better resurrection.
36 And others had trial of mockings and floggings and more, of chains and imprisonment. 37 They were stoned, they were tried, they were sawn in two, they were slain with the sword. They went about in sheepskins, in goatskins, being in need, afflicted, mistreated, 38 of whom the world was not worthy – wandering in deserts and mountains and caves and holes of the earth. 39 And having obtained witness through the belief, all these did not receive the promise, 40 Elohim having provided what is better for us, that they should not be made perfect apart from us.
Revelation 3:
7 “And to the messenger of the assembly in Philadelphia write, ‘He who is set-apart, He who is true, He who has the key of Dawiḏ, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens, says this: 8 “I know your works – see, I have set before you an open door, and no one is able to shut it – that you have little power, yet have guarded My Word, and have not denied My Name. 9 “See, I am giving up those of the congregation of Satan, who say they are Yehuḏim and are not, but lie. See, I am making them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you. 10 “Because you have guarded My Word of endurance, I also shall guard you from the hour of trial which shall come upon all the world, to try those who dwell on the earth.
Revelation 7:1
And after this I saw four messengers standing at the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree. 2 And I saw another messenger coming up from the rising of the sun, holding the seal of the living Elohim. And he cried with a loud voice to the four messengers to whom it was given to harm the earth and the sea, 3 saying, “Do not harm the earth, nor the sea, nor the trees until we have sealed the servants of our Elohim upon their foreheads.4 And I heard the number of those who were sealed, one hundred and forty-four thousand, sealed out of all the tribes of the children of Yisra’ĕl: 5 of the tribe of Yehuḏah twelve thousand were sealed, of the tribe of Re’uḇĕn twelve thousand were sealed, of the tribe of Gaḏ twelve thousand were sealed, 6 of the tribe of Ashĕr twelve thousand were sealed, of the tribe of Naphtali twelve thousand were sealed, of the tribe of Menashsheh twelve thousand were sealed, 7 of the tribe of Shim‛on twelve thousand were sealed, of the tribe of Lĕwi twelve thousand were sealed, of the tribe of Yissasḵar twelve thousand were sealed, 8 of the tribe of Zeḇulun twelve thousand were sealed, of the tribe of Yosĕph twelve thousand were sealed, of the tribe of Binyamin twelve thousand were sealed.
9 After this I looked and saw a great crowd which no one was able to count, out of all nations and tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, dressed in white robes, and palm branches in their hands, 10 and crying out with a loud voice, saying, “Deliverance belongs to our Elohim who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” 11 And all the messengers stood around the throne and the elders and the four living creatures, and fell on their faces before the throne and worshipped Elohim, 12 saying, “Amĕn! The blessing, and the esteem, and the wisdom, and the thanksgiving, and the respect, and the power, and the might, to our Elohim forever and ever. Amĕn.” 13 And one of the elders responded, saying to me, “Who are these dressed in white robes, and where did they come from?” 14 And I said to him, “Master, you know.” And he said to me, “These are those coming out of the great distress, having washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 15 “Because of this they are before the throne of Elohim, and serve Him day and night in His Dwelling Place. And He who sits on the throne shall spread His Tent over them.
Revelation 8:
1 And when He opened the seventh seal, there came to be silence in the heaven for about half an hour. 2 And I saw the seven messengers who stand before Elohim, and to them were given seven trumpets. 3 And another messenger came and stood at the altar, holding a golden censer, and much incense was given to him, that he should offer it with the prayers of all the set-apart ones upon the golden altar which was before the throne. 4 And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the set-apart ones, went up before Elohim from the hand of the messenger.
Revelation 9:
1 And the fifth messenger sounded, and I saw a star from the heaven which had fallen to the earth. And the key to the pit of the deep was given to it. 2 And he opened the pit of the deep, and smoke went up out of the pit like the smoke of a great furnace. And the sun was darkened, also the air, because of the smoke of the pit. 3 And out of the smoke locusts came upon the earth, and authority was given to them as the scorpions of the earth possess authority. 4 And it was said to them that they shall not harm the grass of the earth, or any green matter, or any tree, but only those men who do not have the seal of Elohim upon their foreheads.
Revelation 12:
6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by Elohim, to be nourished there one thousand two hundred and sixty days. 7 And there came to be fighting in the heaven: Miḵa’ĕl and his messengers fought against the dragon. And the dragon and his messengers fought, 8 but they were not strong enough, nor was a place found for them in the heaven any longer. 9 And the great dragon was thrown out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who leads all the world astray. He was thrown to the earth, and his messengers were thrown out with him. 10 And I heard a loud voice saying in the heaven, “Now have come the deliverance and the power and the reign of our Elohim, and the authority of His Messiah, for the accuser of our brothers, who accused them before our Elohim day and night, has been thrown down. 11 “And they overcame him because of the Blood of the Lamb, and because of the Word of their witness, and they did not love their lives to the death.
12 “Because of this rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, knowing that he has little time.” 13 And when the dragon saw that he had been thrown to the earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male child. 14 And the woman was given two wings of a great eagle, to fly into the wilderness to her place, where she is nourished for a time and times and half a time, from the presence of the serpent. 15 And out of his mouth the serpent spewed water like a river after the woman, to cause her to be swept away by the river. 16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed up the river which the dragon had spewed out of his mouth. 17 And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to fight with the remnant of her seed, those guarding the commands of Elohim and possessing the witness of יהושע YaHuWShu’A Messiah.
Revelation 14:
1 And I looked and saw a Lamb standing on Mount Tsiyon, and with Him one hundred and forty-four thousand, having His Father’s Name written upon their foreheads. 2 And I heard a voice out of the heaven, like the voice of many waters, and like the voice of loud thunder, and I heard the sound of harpists playing their harps. 3 And they sang a renewed song before the throne, and before the four living creatures, and the elders. And no one was able to learn that song except the hundred and forty-four thousand who were redeemed from the earth. 4 They are those who were not defiled with women, for they are maidens. They are those following the Lamb wherever He leads them on. They were redeemed from among men, being first-fruits to Elohim and to the Lamb. 5 And in their mouth was found no falsehood, for they are blameless before the throne of Elohim. 6 And I saw another messenger flying in mid-heaven, holding the everlasting Good News to announce to those dwelling on the earth, even to every nation and tribe and tongue and people, 7 saying with a loud voice, “Fear Elohim and give esteem to Him, because the hour of His judgment has come. And worship Him who made the heaven and the earth, and sea, and fountains of water.”
8 And another messenger followed, saying, “Baḇel is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she has made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her whoring.” 9 And a third messenger followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark upon his forehead or upon his hand, 10 he also shall drink of the wine of the wrath of Elohim, which is poured out undiluted into the cup of His wrath. And he shall be tortured with fire and sulphur before the set-apart messengers and before the Lamb. 11 “And the smoke of their torture goes up forever and ever. And they have no rest day or night, those worshipping the beast and his image, also if anyone receives the mark of his name.” 12 Here is the endurance of the set-apart ones,a here are those guarding the commands of Elohim and the belief of יהושע YaHuWShu’A.

13 And I heard a voice out of the heaven saying to me, “Write, ‘Blessed are the dead who die in the Master from now on.’ ” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “in order that they rest from their labours, and their works follow with them.” 14 And I looked and saw a white cloud, and sitting on the cloud was One like the Son of Aḏam, having on His head a golden crown, and in His hand a sharp sickle. 15 And another messenger came out of the Dwelling Place, crying with a loud voice to the One sitting on the cloud, “Send Your sickle and reap, because the hour has come for You to reap, because the harvest of the earth is ripe.”
